heres the new Monkey Island Capitol

this time, unlike the W Tower, i did all the windows right, allowing me to make good window materials. Also, this time, I used Mental Ray for the scene. Im trying to add a curious george head to the top. The green things are SUPPOSED to be vines. keyword SUPPOSED :p


I reduced the size of this picture a bit. It contains a lot of white space to the right and below, which could have been cropped out.

Is there any particular reason to use something as tasteless as PB for your work? I mean, you are aware that there are a tremendous amount of victims of paedophile predators and to my opinion there is no humour to be found in promoting this PB idea. Its just not fun and I think rather insulting to victims to make fun of their ordeals.

This is just my personal opinion and you are free to do what you want as long as it is within the rules of this site. I have however taken a look at some of the "funny" cartoons involving PB and it is rather sickening. I would kindly ask you to re-consider the further spread of this. Thank you.

still lots of work to do, adding maybe 1/2 floors below the main building (what I have right now). O and I have to fix the side arched windows because my awesome window designs (Monkey, Bannana, "CG") aren't showing right.

nah, i got a bannana model off of some site, modified it a bit so it looked how i liked, then make the gold material and added it.

wow...today has been a crazy day for TG. anyway, now that its settled down, I've been able to finish the ex-wolverine tower. Reason I say ex is because after my most recent changes the name doesn't fit. Im thinking somthing like 1228 Grater Place? Only problem is in "TG PR 1228 Grater Place" it looks like its TG Patriots_1228 and then Grater Place. o well, ill sort out the name later.

Anyway, what i've done

-added the base

its less nubish, this time it features 4 floors, 2 are boxy, 2 are in the shape of the bottom floor of the tower. theres water things (cant call em fountains, lets call em displays) in between stair cases, and there are two outer decks to walk around.

set up Mr

added a sun/sky, mental ray renderer, and cautistics, although i doubt i did them right.

Severe window changes

First thing you'll notice is its about 80 percent impossible to see any ground reflections. They are still there, but barely. The reason being it looked kinda like a creme savor with them. second, ive added a diffuse map from the stock pile of glass textures DA sent me. thanks! 3rd, ive added a better bump, although it does do much here.

Window Frames-
changed them from gold to a more realistic silvery metal.

ready for export! any takers? autovino seems busy and josef is having trouble getting it the exports to work.
