Wow.  :o

The sixth, seventh and eighth pics look almost three-dimensional, with the background of blue-sky color. The only thing that gives it away are the buildings. Awesome work.  :thumbsup:

A lot of great pictures there, Ennedi! Wonderful work on that mountain! :thumbsup:

Fantastic update Adam. The shots of the top of the mountain are magnificent &apls &apls

They evoke a feeling of serenity as you gaze down over the Valley. Well done my friend.

Amazing update, Ennedi. Even though I don't understand the tech part yet ()what(), I'm anxious to learn and to see how the region continues to develop.

Until next time...

Ennedi,

I have just been blown away by your photos, tutorials, and images in general. Awesome work!

I can provide some insight into terrain mod altering through PM if you like... like if you have any questions, drop me a line sometime. I may be able to help solve some questions you might have... this is my specialty.

This is like my new favourite MD, because it is very unique. Take care!

@beskhu3epnm,

Thank you very much, I'm honoured by your proposition and you can be sure I will ask for your advice in near future :)
I started this MD at 25th August. Before this day I made some work with terraforming and plopping forests, but I didn't prepare any city. My general idea of developing this region is as follows:
1. Preparing the region according to the general vision of it (almost done)

2. Making some development: at first I want to build some cities - small and medium-sized, but different one from another, to make a few "districts", each with a specific climate. In the next stage I want to connect these cities by transit networks (to enable the regional development and observe the traffic) and start to build large cities in crucial points. I have done about 20% of this work.

3. In the same time I want to observe an interaction of the terrain (and the sea, flora etc.) with cities (both urban and rural areas) and transit networks. Of course I could make an empty region and play with the terrain and flora mods for a long time, and then start to build anything. Maybe it would be more "realistic". But in SC4 we don't create a world - we create an SC4 region ;) I am sure that to create a realistic looking region (the "SC4 realism" is a theme for fascinating discussion at another occasion) it is necessary to work with the terrain and cities in the same time.
Now I'm making point 2 and it is a good moment to start point 3. I have the terrain prepared and some existing cities. So I would like to start changing parameters of terrain mods and look at results. I also would like to play with tree controllers and rock mods. I have some ideas  &idea

I must emphasize I'm a simple player, I haven't any knowledge about the structure of these all mods. I must learn a lot, so I will ask for help :)
But I think it can be interesting for you and other modders too, because you are concentrated on your specialization and I think you simply have no time to make fully developed regions. And the simple player as me can show some effects of your work on an alive organism ;D

4. After a few months (learning terrain/tree mods needs a lot of work, you know it better ;)) I would like to start the second fascinating thing: lot editing. I'm very glad of meeting with Badsim and he also is very friendly and helpful. So I would like to make all cities first, and then return to them and look what is bad and what could be improved.

I think it's enough work as for one region :D

And what is the core idea of this work?
Looking at this all amazing creations presented on this site (and also on other SC4 sites) I have a following feeling:
- There are many excellent maps and mods/tools connected with the terrain, but only a small part of them is widely utilized;
- Also, there are a lot of beautiful BATs, but they are not often utilized.
I think there are some particular reasons of this state and I would like to find them out, and maybe - to change this situation a bit ;)

Sorry for the long and complicated comment, I will definitely ask you for help, but I must prepare my questions, looking at these 70 parameters of CPT No 6 I'm a bit confused now :D

First of all, thank you for the congrats to Lexington County's honor: Of Special Interest This Month.

I am in love with you dam!! You did a wonderful job with the whole thing, especially the overflow channel. I tried to do that with my dams and could not figure out how to accomplish it. I will be re-reading that portion to learn from your experience. Good Job!  :thumbsup: :thumbsup:
