I'm lucky, I work in the Sydney area that gets the holiday, but live outside it. So all my friends who work locally have to work while I get the day off. Suckers!

Linda, it is now officially Friday here so time to relax. I know I get a headstart on the weekend, but we get Monday first as well. We need to find a way to combine our timezones so we get a super long weekend.

Hi all, the APEC longweekend has arrive. Woohoo.

George is in town, so is Hu from China (who you might say), and Vladimir is on his way. Thanks to all for getting us Friday off 

Was off to the races tomorrow but all our horses have the flu (not funny really, has shut down the industry) so will have
to find another way to amuse myself.

I'm sure I can find something that revolves around drinking (for all you youngens, drinking is irresponsible,
bad for your health, and makes you eat some terrible things - best leave alone).

Personally, nothing like a hot dog from a street vendor after a long night on the booze. At least when you call in
sick the next day you can claim food poisoning
