Hi there, I would first like to offer my appreciation to Simgoober for creating such wonderful content over the years, they have greatly enhanced my enjoyment of Sim City 4.  &apls

Okay now the question:

I have just installed the new updated Sainsburys lots and models from the LEX and used the cleanitol tool to remove the old lots. All of the old lots were installed in the default folder locations and cleanitol has managed to remove everything. However I allways double check by manually looking into the folders to make sure everything is gone but I found the following two files still left in "\Plugins\Simgoober\RLS\Sainsbury\Grocers"

SG_SainsburyGrocer_Suburban.dat
SG_SainsburyGrocer_Urban.dat

I would like to know if it is safe to delete these files before playing the game, or are they still needed?

Thanks in advance.  :)

I downloaded and installed the files that I have packaged from the STEX so that I was sure I had the uploaded files not ones I had from testing etc. I have just checked and reinstalled all the files that I had and cannot find either of those two files. I have done a full system search and so not have them anywhere on my system. I cannot at this stage say for certain that they are no needed but would imagine that they can be deleted as I don't have them. I would put them somewhere safe and try the game but please let me know what happens.

I also have these files and the Cleanitol did not remove them.

I opened them with the Reader and they contain, from what I can tell, the data for SC4Model files, BATs and Props.

The BATs in the files look like the files on the Stex:

Urban -> Click!
Suburban -> Click!

Can they be safely removed?

Yes they can be safely deleted. I have downloaded, again, and installed and compared with the files I had. It is my error as I already had both the zips with the installers and both had the same date as the ones on the STEX. I installed my original set with the files you have named slightly differently. I will add those two files to the Cleanitol file for future downloaders. Thanks for the heads up.

Thankyou BarbyW, I fired up the game without those two files and I have no crashes or problems running my game. :)
