The model looks good, but for a structure engineer...

it looks wrong, having the pylons turn that way, with the strong axis in the length of the bridge and not across. Wouldn't want to go across it.

Blame the French, their design

Well, just had a look at the pictures of the bridge.

The lower part of pylons (underneath the deck) is a lot bigger and there by stiffer/stronger across than the top part.
That design makes sense to me, as the top part takes forces in the length of the bridges.

Actually, if I remember correctly, it was designed by a British engineering firm.

Nice bridge there, though I don't like the textures on the pylons. Hopefully they'll get changed.
