It's a real-life area in Germany called "Ruhr-area", or "Ruhrgebiet" in German. The region stretches out from "Duisburg" in the north-west to "Sauerlands Winterberg" in the south-east... About, I think 100km +

l. h., that's really awesome!  I especially like the look of those suburbs...I'd love to see them up close!

Ahh...here's my small region of slightly less than 400,000 citizens with rather plain topographic features:



And transportation map:


There'll be an airport to the north of what's built, you can see where the seaport's going to go (on the southeast corner of the region), and Downtown will be on that flat piece of ground directly north and across the river from the seaport.

This is what I hope it will become one day...

(The highway on the far left of the region shots isn't in the SC3K map)

Here's a totally new version of my downtown area since I actually wasn't totally happy with the old one and wanted it to look more realistic. The surrounding suburbs are still their but I just wanted to show a general overview of what road systems I have in place for now.
