Very nice contribution to the game they look great.
What I have done is move this group to the bottom of my menu basically never to be seen again. I then create a page with a picture of each lot and its official menu name and use the bldg and lot plop menus.  Have done this with a lot a neat creations and it works very fast for finding, plopping, and moving on. Gotta beat this menu situation some how. Thanks for you work. &apls

Here is a list of all Streetlight sets 6 through 18.

Set 6 is a shorter tapered eliptical arm on an aluminum pole.

 

Set 7 is a truss arm on an aluminum pole.



Set 8 is a shorter truss arm on an aluminum pole.



Set 9 is a double guy upsweep arm on a wood pole.



Set 10 is a longer double guy upsweep arm on a wood pole.



Set 11
is a short upsweep arm on a wood pole.



Set 12 is an upsweep arm on a wood pole



Set 13 is a braced upsweep arm on a wood pole.



Set 14 is a large double guy upsweep arm on a wood pole.



Set 15 is a small truss arm on a wood pole.



Set 16 is a medium truss arm on a wood pole.



Set 17 is a large truss arm on a wood pole.



Set 18 is a collection of decorative lamps for high wealth areas.

Interstate80, I hate to say it, but somehow one of your streetlights replaced a growable residential Maxis building, again. This time where an apartment building should appear, this one streetlamp shows up instead. I'll keep you posted, if I find more issues. Other than that, this is a great American streetlight mod.

-j-dub: to make things easier, do you happen to know which lamp style it is? It's probably a duplicated ID, and knowing which one it is would make things easier.

Hmmm now that is an intresting conflict there...  JD do know what the name of the lot is supposed to be? Or does it query the light pole only?

I can't remember, but I could of sworn it was a gray 2 story apartment building, not too much bigger than that house on the left.

j-dub thank you for pointing that out. Does the lamp that replaces the building light up at night? When I had this problem in the past I discovered that if it lit up it was an exemplar ID conflict but if it didn't light up it was an ID conflict with actual model itself.

Interstate 80, I discovered that the conflict is All the Euro buildings are messed up!









As you can see, I found all sorts of styles messed up from this mod. I could go on, and on with pictures of all the ones I found, but there was too much to take. I think you get the idea. Again, it seems to just be the Euro buildings that got affected. I guess I just don't know why these conflicts occur. ()what()

Until then, we can just turn Euro style growable buildings off. No biggy, I'll have some new buildings develop. However, the existing game ID's must be realized, so this doesn't happen again.

I went into lot editor yesterday and discovered that sets 5,7 and 9 were replacing those buildings. So I started changing all the IDs so that streetlights don't replace any buildings. I have about 10 more lamps to work on and then when I have everything fixed I will release an update.

Sounds like you've got a fair bit of work lined up for yourself. Glad to see you found the problem though, and that it is an easy fix. If you are interested, try to put these on the LEX. I know the community would appreciate it. Nice to see this coming together.

I haven't had the chance to try these out, since I've been busy doing other things with SC4, but I am looking forward to the updated sets, I80.  :)

Unfortunately savefile changed servers and now it has been down for over a month :( so I will work on getting this this mod up on the LEX and the STEX sometime in the near future.

Anything happening on this? It's been 3 months since the last post. Also, the street lights in my city appear on the side of the avenues. How do I get them back in the center of the avenue?  ()what() Does anyone know how to get them to appear in the middle of the highways too?

Yeah, it was a while since I downloaded this, but I am pretty sure there was a optional file that came with this mod that moved the lights to the side of the avenues, which got rid of the trees in the medians as well, which is what happened to you. That file can be taken out, and you should get the modded streetlights instead of the Maxis ones in you medians instead. I can't find it, so I don't know the name, but it might be something like z_SideAvenueLights_noMedianProps, but I don't know. I do have modded streetlights that look like my real life in my medians. So there has to be a side avenue lights file in your Great American streetlight folder that was doing that.
