Streetlight 725 I will eventually make streetlights like that. Those highway lights in the last picture are called high mast streetlights. I would definitely like to make ones like that when I have the time. I see those a lot on interstate highways.Sets 7 and 9 will be available in the next beta. I still have a lot of work to do on those,the diagonals need to be done and then I have to make the T21 exemplars for them.

Excellent work on the streetlights there and will widen what we have available in SC4

HOWEVER

I have a gripe,

One which is on DOUBLE POSTS, I recommend you read them very VERY carefully, staff members here are not as "liberal" as others are in here

This is a great set, and it has quickly become a mainstay in my SC4 plugins folder.  However, I am experiencing two issues.  For some reason, whenever I use the Maxis Euro-Contemporary Building Style in combination with the I80 Streetlight Mod, many of the Maxis Euro-Contemporary Buildings are replaced with square concrete lots that contain only I80 streetlight props but no buildings.  Additionally, the plain wooden poles never appear at all when I use the mod, regardless of which zones develop next to my roads.  Is there a conflict with some other mod I am using?

Unfortanetly, I have started to notice the streetlights replacing Maxis buildings on mine too, anyone else? Also, can streetlight 31B2 be used instead of the wood poles for medium wealth?

I would also like to make ones with stoplights eventually.

Interstate80: Great work with the lights. I really need to get in here more often, but I don't think that will be a problem with work like this.

Streetlight725: I know the double posting has already been mentioned so I won't say anything about that, but understand that the lights will be done when they are done, and the next update will be ready when it is ready. I know you are anxiously following this project, but please be patient, it will come in time.

Interstate80: I see that your file is getting too big to be released on forums. Why not publish it on SimTropolis? You'll need an account, but you can upload files up to 10 MB and you'll be reaching a larger public. Beside that, it's a site with numberous of downloads. Hope this tip will help.

Nice work with the new set of streetlights. Those truss shaped ones you have shown recently are a very commonly used style.

Do you know if this type of streetlight will be released any time?



Those streetlights are the most widely used on all freeways and major highways where i live and i have been really hanging out for it
Also here is a pic showing the advantages of ploppable versions. This pic was taken quite a few months ago now. Note the different styles.



Its great to have the freedom of plopping streetlights wherever you wish. It really adds to the realism
