Your modular school set is going to be great hit, my friend.  You have really out done your self on this one.  I can't wait to get my greedy hands on this one.  I think I have a neat little idea for a set up in my city...  ::)
The parking lot pieces could use some life.  What about adding some timed vehicles for parking on the straight pieces to simulate driving.  Maybe even add a diagonal car to simulate going to a parking space.   ;)
The Swan Majestic looks marvelous.  You really have done a great job on this BAT and all the lots.  &apls

Matt:  I'll have to see what I can come up with for your corner idea when I come back home.  I know there's nothing like that for this style of driveways, but I agree that it would be a nice thing to have.  Enjoy your break!

Robin:  Thank you!  "Life" is still coming as I said.  I just wanted to put the basic pieces up so people could see what they were and point out any missing things that could still be added.  To simulate driving I'd probably need to retime some of the props myself.  As they're set up now, they stay there too long to make much sense.

Bluebeard:  Thank you for your very kind words!

Just getting some replies in while I have a chance.

Hi Pat!  I noticed that the dependancy list got smushed together, but I really don't know why or how to fix it.  Maybe my html is wrong somewhere, but I'm not sure.  Last I checked you actually fainted 5 times!  But I don't think that I can delete comments... I'll have to go check.  Happy Thanksgiving to you as well.  I'm waiting for the snow and ice that you've probably been getting all afternoon over your way. ;)

4 pages of great new updates in one week (ok, and some comments). How do you do that?  I cannot keep up with only reading this stuff, imagine....

Great progress, on the Westland and Swan. One thing though: the bid pond, where you want the students to relax, should have some more space arround it, maybe also a path and some benches. Or is it my own age that wants that?  :-[

Hello my friend, been a long time, just went thru the last couple of pages and am really enthused about the skule...For one thing have never been really happy with the in game university and this sure looks much much better.  Can't think of anything somebody else hasn't mentioned yet but will think on it.....oh, maybe one of the parking lots with a bus stop function?  Most students seems to have a need to ride the public transport often and the faculty and workers are the drivers in many "in city" big schools.....oh well....
Sometimes I go into my own little world....but it's ok, they know me there.

Pat:  We only ended up with an inch or so of snow over on this side of the lake too.  Much less than the doom-sayers predicted!   ::)

Sebes:  I added benches near the pond shortly after taking the last set of pictures actually... I knew I had forgotten something!  As I've said, I really only have two choices for the size so that part won't be changing.  I'm glad you like the rest of it!

Oldrogue:  Always nice to see you!  I could certainly add a few bus station props to some of the driveways.  I probably won't make them fully functional for the same reasons that many buildings will be strictly eye candy.  Mostly issues with road access and such.  I like the idea though, thank you!

OK... first of all, I hope everyone had a great holiday.  My 3 year old nephew pretty much wore me out!  His newest favorite game seems to be football... with his own personal set of rules of course.  "Football" actually consists of the two of us chasing around in circles and tackling each other in the living room.  It also seems that a tackle is the same as a touchdown because once we were on the floor he would say, "Touchdown... Collin State!"  I only scored one touchdown in three days.  I must suck at football!  :D

I had another go at the two additional driveway pieces that Matt suggested.  I also made a set of wider campus paths.  These will match up with the paths that come off the front steps of several campus buildings.  Once again... these are just the basics for now.  Additional props and things will come later.  Still just trying to get all the basic pieces sorted out at this point.

Since the starter pack list has changed slightly... here is an updated (abbreviated) list:

Buildings
There will be a total of ten.  Three will be trigger buildings... yes, there will be choices for your first building!  One is naturally the one you've seen all along.  The other two haven't been started yet, but they will both be smaller.  There will also be three dorms, the Student Center, Chapel, Library, and Boiler.  All these are done except the Library.

Driveways and Parking
Total of 20 pieces.  All have been shown at this point.

Campus Paths and Filler Pieces
The 8 wide paths shown above.  There will also be the quad and pond pieces still to come which will add 4-6 more pieces.  The walls will probably fit in here too.

So the lot total for this pack has swelled up into the 40-50 range now.  To summarize , I basically have three buildings to make yet.  I also have a few more props that to finish in addition to the wall pieces.  That may sound like a long ways to go, but it's probably not as bad as it seems.  Depends on how RL goes the next few weeks...

Glad to hear the holiday went well and that the football injuries were kept to a minimum. There were a few young ones running around my grandparent's place (sons/daughters of my cousins... I don't know what that makes me relative to them. An uncle is the brother of one of the parents, but I'm not sure about cousins). It's really interesting to see a new generation growing up. Now then, onto the update.

The new parking tiles are just what I was looking for. Will it be possible to place things in game in the open corner of the corner lot or do you already have something in mind? The paths you've created will be a nice addition as well. The selection of buildings is excellent, and I like that there will be the choice of three trigger buildings.

It seems like you have a bit on your plate already with the new buildings etc, but I thought I would throw another suggestion your way in the event you wanted to add just a little bit more. I don't know how practical it would be, but in the wide-narrow transitions, there is a straight one, one with three narrow paths, and a two narrow path 'T'. Something that isn't there though are "single left" and "single right" options or straight w/ left and right options as well (again, eloquence eludes me... let me know if the descriptions make any sense, but please do not feel pressured to make these, this is merely a curious observation and not a request).

Take it easy.

Jon i know that feeling the naysayers where screaming and i do mean screaming our first major snowfall and we only got what lol.... Anyways Jon I love those paths and they are turning out very great and its worth the 40 or 50 so lots needed for this Massive project... me hats off to you sir...

Bluebeard:  Thank you!  The church is part of the set for use as a campus chapel.  I can easily make a stand alone version of it as well.

Mauricio:  Thanks!

Existent:  Thank you!  Some form of MML is almost a necessity this time around, yes.

Oldrogue:  Thanks!

Matt:  Second cousin once removed... maybe?  I'm not sure either.  I will have some sort of prop in that bare corner.  I think I understand your path question and will show a picture this evening to confirm we're on the same page.  If I'm thinking correctly, the textures already exsist which makes it very easy to do.

Pat:  Thank you!

In other news, the grain elevator is getting fairly close to being ready.  So that may be up in the near future...

Ah. Glad to hear it. Even if you didn't do that I would likely have done so myself.

LOL @ the 3 year old nephew. I've never understood why NFL insists on a touchdown being simply getting into the touchdown zone.

Then again, I'm used to rugby union and league, where grounding the ball is necessary. I also watch AFL (which is fast, frenetic, and a little bit crazy. Even the refs don't get the rules sometimes!  :D) but there's no in-goal area for that sport, you just kick it between the posts (there being four posts at each end. The two centre posts are where you want to aim - 6 points. Inside the other posts gets just one point (a "behind").

Yeah, we have the "weird" sports here.

We also love cricket in this country. Especially when it's England losing.  :D

JBSimio

Bluebeard:  Consider it done then!  It won't be ready any sooner though, just because all these models will be a large prop pack anyway.  I'll probably make the stand alone a Smalltown church... since I don't have one yet.  ;)

Cammo:  I don't know why the term is touchdown either.  I've never really watched the AFL to be honest... and cricket?  I still don't get it.   :D

Matt:  Is something like this what you had in mind?

I tried to start one of the alternate "Old Main" buildings yesterday, but just wasn't really getting into it.  I tried to finnish a couple half-done Smalltown buildings as well... but I wasn't really feeling into that either.  So let's just completely shift gears for a minute, shall we?

I had recieved Cycledogg's first foundation a few weeks ago, but frankly got so sidetracked that I never got around to having a look at it or testing it.  I decided that I'd better do that today so I could "approve" it and get the other foundations going.  So here is a what that looks like:

I know that the tree is cutting into the building of the middle picture... I'll fix that.  These lots were thrown together rather quickly and need a little more life to them yet, but it gives the general idea.  That's all for now.  I have to go on another exporting spree to get some more of these apartments ready.  ;)
