Cool stuff! My current project is actually a website. I am archiving all of my stuff and putting it there for safekeeping. And adding some other features besides my SC4 updates.

Well, I don't know where I should post that but I think this thread a good thread  for it.

My current Projekt Is a Port set for European Containerterminals. I'm going to use yomans und tag_ones great props,But I will use some BATs by me,too
I'm still a BAT-amateur so my BAts aren't so detailed like yomans and tag_ones BATs.

I think its still to early to start here an own BAT thread. So I want to show you some BATs I created in the last time:

these BATs are my 3(or 4, I batted the Containercrane in 2 versions) first BATs

Please criticize   :)

tag_one

Great work on those container cranes, they are wonderful
What base texture did you used underneath the crane? It looks very good and I would like to see if it fits my crane as well  :)

Sam Johnson

thank you  :)

This Texture is from the port realism pack.

Here's a teaser from my MD, Orleans County:

If you haven't already stopped by Orleans County, why don't you check it out?  It's a great place to live.  Trust me - because in the real world - I do!

The link to Orleans County is in my signature.  Happy reading!

Yoman

Excellent work Sam Johnson, they really look awesome, very detailed also, so stop beating yourself up over that :P Only suggestion I have is very minor, and really won't matter. On the Straddle carriers, make the handle rails a little thinner, otherwise they look incredible, colors will match with my cranes I'm working on right now also  ;D

Sam Johnson

Thank you for the Comments  :)

@Yoman: Thank you for the Critic I'm going to work on it again.

And again Thank you for the praise  :)

This 'project' I'm working on is a collabortation of ideas. Firstly, it's combining what, as a child, I though NYC was like, then Boston, Seattle, and other cities. It's in it's early stages and I'm sorry about the small pictures, but here's a few pictures of Haverhill Metropolitan Region.

This is the main area of the city of Haverhill. I'm debating whether or not to make that piece of land off the end of the city an oceanside park of have it just be more ocean. Any thoughts?

This is the end of the Haverhill Peninsula, in the Uptown neighborhood. I still need to fill in a few spots with parks and buildings and such.
Je m'appelle James...okay, so I'm not French...but it still sounds cool!

Hi everybody!

This is my current project...

Freemont Hills is a small town (1.000 inhab) located far from major urban centers. Life here is calm and commercial activity is the main livelihood of the local economy. The people are friendly and always has a smile for visitors.

The image is part of my current project, which could become an MD soon. Please, post your comments about this image. I hope you like it!

See you soon!

Blub! Old thread is revived, but still old!

Been working on learning Blender the last few weeks. Obviously I have not added any windows or a door yet, while doing a bunch of boring tutorials I thought I had to test to make a fairly standard looking Swedish home. Although its small(~34m/sq bottom floor/16m/sq top floor). I've got this idea to make a bunch of R$, R$$ and R$$$ Stage 1-3 homes with gardens, all the houses having the "faluröd" red colour and white decor. Have to test the full cycle before I start it off though(Export to Gmax and Sc4, and make it grow in-game).

Cheers

bob56

very nice...Don't know much about swedish homes, but i'd also look good as a cabin. :)

The_Mario_Man

Hi. I've had SC4 for a few years, now. I've been lurking around here and Simtropolis for quite some time, though. And with all the brilliant cities, I've seen, I wanted to try my own serious one. This is a recreation of a 'city'. Only the city I'm recreating is from a popular videogame, originally on the PlayStation 2. I tried to make it as accurate as possible, but due to the limits of the game, I often have to improvise. But I think it's turning out well.

Can anyone guess it?

-A flood control channel. In the game I'm basing this city off of, the drains are empty and full of weeds and mold. But I wanted to make this look a little livelier.

-A section of the suburbs next to a sunken highway.

-A National Guard supply and weapons depot. (Hint: in the game's earlier missions you assault this place). The shoreline behind it needs some work; I was rushing to get it done.

-The City's convention center.

-Another shot of the flood control channels, as they enter the industrial district.

-This picture should instantly give it anyway to anyone familiar with the game.

-Take a closer look. Get it yet? (This was one of the first screenshots I took of the city. It was pretty young, hence the empty zones you can see in the corner). Also, another hint: this is the first place in the game you have to go to.

-Here, a small secondary channel branches off from the main one.

-Another giveaway; an narrow alley leading to a billboard that overlooks the highway. This billboard gets destroyed in the game.

Hope you guys like it.

Alfred.Jones

That is excellent The_Mario_Man! It is actually very detailed and true to the original game! I like how you constructed Grove Street. Will you make all of the cities? That would be cool!
