Oh great - Walker Islands returned... 2009 set of for a great start!

And wow - what a beaches - gorgeous... dreaming of spending a month in a villa with ocean view....

Astoria Beach

Astoria Beach is the Capital, largest city, and commercial centre of the Neptune Islands.
The city has a population of 72,000 (2008 census), nearly 80 percent of the entire population
of The Neptune Islands (93,000).

The Overview shows Downtown in the lower middle, the residental district Palm Heights
and the Astoria Banks with the beaches.

The Astoria Banks is an upscale area and home to many multi-million-dollar houses and apartments.
The neighbourhood is known for its surreal white beaches, sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean
on one side and the city of Astoria and the sorrunding forests on the other side.

Some of the beachfront residential properties on the Banks count themselves amongst
the most expensive private residential real estate in the nation of Walker's Island,
though they do not reach the price levels of Josiah's Bay or Port Elizabeth.

Astoria not only features beaches, it has several cultural Landmarks,
including the fort, that was once build by the Frederikson Family to
defeat the Island

Or the House of Parliament, the former Palace.
The Neptune Islands were discovered by
the Frederikson Dynasty,
theybecame a part of the
nation of Walker's Island not
until the Walkers seized power in 1815.

Oh man - that last picture of Belvedere Island is showing a lovely island... looking forward to what you will show us in the next updates!

The Astoria beaches are fabulous.... I can see myself sitting on them with a nice cocktail and watching the sunset..

William Walker Estate

The William Walker Estate was built in the town of Fey Haven
as the Belvedere Island home of William Walker,
a member of the wealthy Walker family.

William Walker

The Walker Family is the most powerful family in the nation of Walker's Island
ever since they seized power in 1815 and even renamed the Island.

The William Walker estate was where
her Highness, the divine Louise Walker
(1878-1981) spent most of her time.
She was the abolute ruler of the Islands
from 1905 until 1956.

Louise Walker

Louise Walker hosted world leaders including Queen Victoria,
the German Emperor Wilhelm II, or presidents Eisenhower
and Roosevelt for informal and private meetings.
Nowadays the Walker Family meets here for family
weddings, holidays, and receptions.

The great-granddaughter of Louise Walker,
Her Holiness Karen Walker spends
most of the year in the Walker Palace
in the capital Port Frederikson.

Part of a 13 acre (53,000 m²) estate on the cliffs of Fey Haven,
the house sits in a commanding position that faces souheast overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

Today we celebrate the second birthday of this MD
and the National Holiday of Walker's Island, the Day of Foundation

@Schulmanator : Yes indeed, this William Walker is a distant relative of the Walker Family of Walker's Island.
Our royal and divine family also supported him in his fights for justice in Nicaragua

Her Holiness at the red carpet of the official reception
at the Royal Palace 2008. This year's guest list includes
Queen Elizabeth and Barack Obama as well
as Hollywood legend Elizabeth Taylor.

The location for all official celebrations today: The Walker Palace

The divine Karen Walker precelebrating the national Day of Foundation
with Madonna at the William Walker Estate yesterday,
February the 9th is the day,that the Walker Family officially seized power,
thus it is a national holiday for all citizens of our divine nation!
The celebrations usually start at Feb 8 and continue till Feb 10.

I've been reading this MD all day since I got home, and all I can say is WOW!!!

you definately have an eye for talent, and your tropical islands are second to none. I am hoping to make some tropical islands of my own, but there's one thing I don't have - that awesome water mod you're using! WHERE did you get it?!?! If you could post a link that would be really helpful.
