As far as I understand this discussion the only safe way for me is now: play my existing regions with NOB's own files and, after you have finished the updated files, start a new region.

I just have to relot all my selfmade ones..... A good occasion to improve them in some aspects.

Safe... except that you'll have to redo it by replacing the building in LE, as mentioned in your first post, correct?

Nope! $%Grinno$%

If you open a ploppable lot in Maxis LotEditor and "save as", LE will create a new unique lot and a new unique building exemplar, and they will both be included in the new SC4Lot file (there is no desc file for a ploppable building exemplar). The building will stand on exactly the same spot on the lot. The building exemplar will still link to the same S3D model (which may be an external dependency), but since the building exemplar is unique, you can change its properties without affecting the original building exemplar.

And then you would have both files in your menu, until you remove the original. That would give you time to make sure you've demolished all instances of the buildings, and replaced them with the updated versions.

Masuda-San, Yes, much more NOB is on the way. We are ironing out a small issue with his textures, and then many of his great works will be available on the LEX. Others with more experience in the area are working on updating his transit stations, to make them available on the LEX as well. Thank you so much for being our bridge to the East my friend.
Also, do you think there is interest among Japanese players in CAMeLots for NOB's works? Or do you think they would prefer Vanilla/Rush Hour versions? If necessary, I could do both for all growables.

Snorelli, the building will only need to be replaced in LE if you choose to use the updated stats. Otherwise the file will work as is. All of NOB's buildings to be available on the LEX will of course be updated with XTool, so they will have more balanced stats. So it probably would be best to use the new building desc's, but I would suggest that careful attention is paid to the difference in the ways the buildings affect your cities.

FrankU, a new region is not necessary at all. Both buildings (original and updated) can be used simultaneously, as I am creating new lots for them all. A Cleanitol will be included with each upload, but that doesn't mean you have to use it right away, and even if you do, that only moves the files out of your plugins, so that if you do run into any problems, you can restore them as needed. Again, make sure to pay attention to the changes in the updated files.

The first set to be released will be NOB's Civic Lots. The only dependency for these lots will be NOB Mega Props Vol01, available on the LEX.
A few teasers:

Ahhh... all right.
I thought I had understood that I had to demolish all original NOB lots before I was able to put the updated files into pluginsfolder nad into my cities.
And the lots I made as edited copies do have the same problems as NOB's, I guess?

So, the NOB files with flaws (growing on empty lots etc) can be used next to the new ones you are working on?
And eventually I can use both next to each other and, if I want to, can replace them piece by piece?

huumm,,, That's really delicate question. ;D

We useZ(have) a lot of "Plugins" properly to a purpose of game each MAPs.
(A lot of users don't summarize BAT and MOD in one "Plugins". It's a Japanese general play-style of SC4.)
I don't understand well how many players always using CAM and CAMelots in SC4.
I still watching many kinds of opinions to then, there are both CAMer and Vanila.
so I hope to you make LOTs for both to each works. It's the best I think.  :)
(It's my personal opinion to the last. ;))

Thanks again xxdita san for questoion very attentive for us. ;)

Hi I was looking at NOB's site looking for the Syowa japanese house set but couldn't find it. I think these lots are growing in  my city without the building on it, so i was looking to see if I was missing a file or maybe just delete it. Thanks if anyone has the filenames or a link :P

Fatsuhono

NOB-san has taken them off his site, but you might be able to find if you remember the URL to them... Unfortunately I don't have them either because recent I emptied my plugins and re-downloaded everything. But he might have a site map, linking to them, or you could try to email NOB.

Hi guys I recently had a PC disaster so I'm having to reinstall all my SC plugins  ()sad()

I have all the files in backup except for NOB walls set (The set with 3 different textures). Can someone please send me the zip in email or something since NOB site is down :(

Why did he take it off? doesn't hurt to just leave it there for the enthusiast fans

I have also noticed that the site is down, could some body send me the rail base texture mod? The one that Badsim uses in his Antigone city.

In Emilin's massive port tutorial, there's a pic of a dry dock by Nob:

I couldn't find it on Nob's site though. Does anyone know if it's still available somewhere?

Can be found in this set. Other part may be in 01, 03 or 04.
