Hi ladies and gentlemen!

Can we post requests here? I'm interested in the Corpus Christi, TX region, preferably the whole bay. I think it's gonna be a great map, low elevations, spectacular views, intresting layouts!

Unfortunately I haven't got any clue on mapmaking, so could you pleeeeease make this map?

Thank you in advance!

Wow :D  Thanks to all above for the kind comments.  It was mentioned that I have been busy whipping maps out faster than an assembly line ::) and that's true, but someone has to keep pace with Heblem's ability to whip BATs out faster than a speeding bullet :P

To the requested Corpus Christi map, consider it on the fast track to completion   I downloaded the DEM data a little while ago and will begin working on it very soon.

Now it's time for 5 more new maps making their pictorial debut :P  Enjoy

I just went back to look and I had missed them some how.  The maps from replies 216 and 219.....the best ones, IMO, are Memphis and San Louis Obispo & Morro Bay California.  I like the river in the first one and in the second the protected bay looks great.
But when compared to these new maps you just posted, I like them better.  They just have more characteristics that appeal to me.

That Memphis map took quite a bit of working, re-working and re-working again to get it to look like it does in the images posted yesterday.  The San Louis/Morro Bay map was a very short process maybe 15 minutes tops] from DEM conversion through the final compression stage to accurately scale elevation.  SLO/MB compressed perfectly the first time   The Memphis map took several compression attempts and a drawing in the river whose riverbed was somewhat higher in elevation than parts of the city.  Cities like New Orleans & Sacramento are frustrating to compress because everything but the levees end up under water &mmm

Thanks for the kind comments again Simpson, sheep49 and Art

As requested, here is the new Corpus Christi map, but I may have to re-do the conversion to get the western side of the city that I cut off.......

Hey blade, these are excellent maps you've got here. I've been using them for my test cities quite often lately, and am highly impressed.

One question though: Do you have any plans to, at any point in the future, release a map from Virginia? I have a project that's been running through my mind lately involving my city of Hampton and the surrounding area, and would like to know if you have any plans for the area in the future. I don't really need it or anything, but I'm just seeing if I can delay my first try with a RL map!  ;) If not, then thanks anyway, and I'll continue to use your maps.

Actually, I do have plans to map the Norfolk-Virginia Beach-Newport News-Hampton-Portsmouth-Chesapeake metro area you mentioned above, but it's going to be a tricky one to do.  A lot of the area is just a smidgen above sea level which means the water depth will be extremely shallow and I'll end up having to lower it by drawing it in with SC4TF.   Keep checking back for further developments

Well, it's a new day which means it's time for 5 new maps to make their pictorial debut.  Today we have Brunswich-Bath Maine, Butte Montana, Crater Lake Oregon, Knoxville Tennessee and Yakima Washington ;)  Enjoy

That was quick :D  I just posted not even 5 minutes ago :P  But yes, the Corpus Christi map turned out way better than I expected it to and it only took two compressions to get it to look the way it does.  I just hope that Sirius, who requested the map, likes it ::)

As a quick note to everyone, I just finished rendering 10 new maps yesterday which I'll be showcasing here in the next few days.  Those new maps include cities such as Cincinnati, Kansas City Metro area, Nashville, Philadelphia and all of Cape Cod [3 maps total to cover all of it].
