To answer your question, yes, I do have plans for Spain and Portugal after this current Cape York Peninsula project and the two other projects immediately following that.  I will be divulging more info on those projects at a later date.  So hang in there, Portugal and Spain will be coming soon

Ok, the final three maps in the Somewhere On Cape York Peninsula North Australia maps have been released to the LEX.  Coming up next are the 11 Somewhere On Cape York Peninsula South Australia maps and then we'll be done with Australia for the time being.  In the next few weeks I will unveil what series of maps that will follow when those 11 have been released.

I found Chenango County and Norwich and wanted to make sure exactly what portion, or should I say how much of the county you'd like.  Looking at my atlas here, it's a pretty good sized county and would make for a massive map, about 3x the size of the Orleans County map I have available on the LEX.  What would be the largest sized map you would prefer?

A 16x16 (All large tiles) map should be perfect (That should make 256 quads, no?). From my measurements in Google Earth, that's enough to fit the entire county, but I think I might be wrong...

I hope that's doable. If it turns out that my measurements were incorrect, you can simply have Norwich be approximately in the center of the map.

A 16x16?   Ok, I'll give a go, but can't promise anything.  I have trouble with getting a 18x13 map to load without locking my pc up, or running so slow that it takes forever to work on it with TerraFormer.  I'll go gather the DEM now which will give me an idea of how big the map will be....

Oh, if that's going to be too large for you to work with, you can make it a bit smaller. I just said 16x16 because that's the size of the 3RR region, which surprisingly runs beautiful on my computer. If you want to make it smaller, go ahead! As long as I still have the majority of the county to work with.

Ok, I just dl'd the data, a whopping 130mb file, now I'm going to open the file up and see what the dimensions are.  Will post results in a little bit

Ok, here's what it looks like when opening the file with Global Mapper....


The size of the map will 12x15 large tiles, so it's not as big as we thought it would be.  It will slow my pc down when working on it with TerraFormer so it will take me some time to finish it, but I will post updates on the progress as I work on it.

It's hard to tell if it's the area that I want, since I'm not sure what sort of scale is there (But that's not your fault, of course), but upon further inspection, I think that's what I'm looking for!

Sorry, it's the entire county and then some because the county is not exactly square, so you got bits of the counties surrounding it.  The scale was 1:541,227

hey blade! can i ask a favor too? i'm from the philippines and could you make a map on one of the philippine island? if thats alright with you.. i really admire your work on creating maps..

Thanks elyk11   Your request depends on which island and how large it is.  I can only go so large, the map I'm doing for Albus above is about the largest I can do without my pc locking up on me. 

I do have a Manila map available on the LEX and STEX if that interests you perhaps.
