Which China Maps Would You Like To See Released

Fuzhou
Ningdai
Shantou
Zhao'an North

cogeo

Heblem, have you considered that the distance between twin cities and the delta is some 1800 km? This would correspond to some 450 SC4 large city tiles. Yes, the "region" would be narrow and long, but what could be an acceptable (playable length)? 20 city tiles maybe? This would require scaling it down at least 22:1. You are mentioning a scale of 10:1. Quite a difference. I had released a map earlier, and I did run into such problems. And it was scaled "only" 6:1. I had to edit all these locally, to get an acceptable result. But such a scale is undoable, I'm afraid.

cogeo, I wouldn't worry about it, Heblem knows what he's doing.  As do I. ;)

Heblem

I'm opening a new thread about that soon  ;) is the area is about 2,000 square km, then It could be scaled down to 1:40 (to make an approximate of 20x20 large tiles region)

As cogeo said, this would affect the quality of the map, as reducing the scale it will reduce the altitude of a mountain, for example is theres 3,000 meters tall mountain, then it gets reduced to only 300 meters, depending...

blade2k5

A 3000 meter high mountains in the Mississippi River region?  There are no mountains that high in that region.....

Then the quality would be worst, lol  :D if the highest (lets say 500 meters) alot of quality would be lost, would be as like a 50 meters hill

The highest point at any point along the river is like a hundred-meters after Memphis. Don't know about above St. Louis or the rivers source.

Not that I'm saying there aren't big hills in the region. There're just not near the river.  $%Grinno$%

Probably not helpful. :-\ Although, I've never seen a 500-meter hill. I think that would be called a mountain. ::)

Due to a serious medical condition, I will not be working on any maps for the foreseeable future.  How long this will be I cannot say but I'm hoping it won't be a very long period of time.

I just spent two days in the hospital and was discharged this morning and have an appointment this Tuesday to see a specialist for my condition, which I don't want to disclose at this time.  I will say it's not life threatening issue [it was caught in time :) ] so no worries there and it's not a disease, cancer or anything like that, but it can be very painful at times.

So to all those that had requested maps from me either here in this forum or via PM, I apologize.  Those of you that I've PM'd that your maps are finished need not worry, I will release them as soon as I can

Take care, I hope to be back soon,

Troy

I'm doing fine.  You like the new uploads eh?  Thanks.  Other than that, I've been arguing with people over at sci-fi.com about how the supernatural theme of BSG's finale was there since the series began.  I guess you mention 'God' these days and some people just freak out about it and completely lose their minds.

oh and if i had to request anything.... it would be

anywhere in this part of Northern Island..... its too big an area for one map but its got a lovely mix of terrain if you can get hold of the data...
NAM + CAM + RAM + SAM, that's how I roll....

blade2k5

mightygoose - What country?  At first I thought it was part of Baltimore until I looked at the neames on the map a little more closely :P

Requests Update ;)

I received a request for Nice France some time back and now ready to showcase it before I release it.  Not only does it cover Nice, but it also covers Monaco and is one map in a series of French Riviera maps that are waiting in the wings to be released.

TerraFormer Grid View:

Region Census View:

Next up is a request for Naples Italy which I had already completed a few months ago, but wasn't ready to release it until later this year [have a ton of Aussie maps to release first  ].  Naples is but one of about a dozen maps of the Italy series Papab2000 and I worked on a couple of months ago.

TerraFormer Grid View:

Region Census View:

And lastly, a request that came in earlier today for Manila Philippines, another map that I had finished some months back.  It was to be the first in a series of Philippines maps Papab2000 and I were in the process of working on before RL issues hit us both hard.

TerraFormer Grid View:

Region Census View:

And there you have it.  These three requests will be uploaded to both the LEX and STEX within the next week or two, so keep an eye for them
