I think the game would benefit greatly with some more realism in housing/residential.  First is suburban sprawl type housing, especially the style common around here (Atlanta, GA) and the whole Southeast in general.  It's so common across the country yet there's nothing in SC4 that really comes close.

It should be easy to create, as most houses are almost identical, few windows on the sides, and little if any trees in the yard.

SC4 needs more apartments.  Here's some Atlanta style buildings that are rather generic...

Here's some higher end housing, in the new-urbanism style...

I think these would look great in any North American style city, and would greatly improve the game's realism.

Somebody, please!!!

If Im not mistaken SimGoober has done some already as well as NDEX?  Dont qoute me on that but if you search SimGoober on the STEX you will find some homes and as well NDEX, but you will have to go threw many pages before you find the houses...   I do agree that some more would be a great addition here Cirrus....

I had asked where I could find suburban houses too, and I was informed these were Mattb325 houses-the ones on LEX that look like suburbia style houses, he made 3 out of 4 medium wealth though, one of them is low. So long as you need to get his dependencies, you should have the building files, but I thnk the suburbia styled lots are on LEX only. The ones in the picture have attached garages. Now I use alot of diagonal and culdesac streets, and they really look like an actual neighborhood and generally align 4x10 residential block. Simgoober, and NDEX have good ones two. I couldn't pass those up, but SG has bigger yards, depending the house, and wealth levels may very. They are what I have seen in a suburbs, but just like in real life everyones style is different.

Go to the LEX and download the Simgoober residential sets.  Lots of good suburban stuff there.  Mattb325 also has some good suburban houses on the LEX.  You might also like these two downloads from the STEX.

Thanks!  I didn't expect yall to be so helpful  ;)  I've seen some of those houses on the STEX before, and even though they're in the same vein, they're still not exactly what I'm looking for.  But you're right, Simgoober's stuff is perfect for realistic suburbia.

Now on to the apartments.  I really wish someone would make some massive, mid-rise units for our downtowns.  This kind of construction is becoming pretty common in US cities as people flee the suburbs.  Kinda generic looking, but some are nicely designed.

NDEX and Dusktrooper have some of those lofts up on the STEX, but you have to search through the files under Equinox's name to find them.

Also, marcszar made some really nice low- and mid-wealth US-style urban apartment blocks that you can find on the LEX.
