WARNING: POSSIBLE LONG LOADING TIMES (1024x768 - jpg)

Hey everyone,

During Summer Break (and maybe longer), I will be taking pictures of the rural surroundings I live in; perhaps they can also be of help for people who like to build rural area's.

Here's an airborne picture of where I live;

That's a great idea, Casper! Look forward to seeing some more pics.

Well I got 19 pictures to spare at the moment  ::) .
I decided not to resize them down to 800x600, but found 1024x768 a good compromise.
These pictures are all taken near to my house.

Casper, is that 70 a speed limit sign?

Jacqulina: Thanks you!
Sebes: I love the smell of manure in the morning! (not!)
Kitsune: It indeed is, that may look quite rapid, but de facto most drivers go above the 90 km/h. There's not too much traffic on the street, except for tractors and local traffic.

I wanted to get some pictures today, but the weather is pretty bad at the moment... If the wind doesn't blow too hard, I might get some pictures when its raining.

heh, I had to pull out my calculator, but it's only about 44 mph, which isn't bad there.  Out of curiosity, do they use km or miles or canada?

Great pictures Casper, looking forward to more.

Mostly KM, although in some places they do indeed use Miles (particularly BC).

Looks like America, but the circular speed limit sign tells me it isn't!  Nevertheless, nice pics!

Hey, Casper, I really like this idea. One of my biggest weaknesses in this game is creating aesthetically pleasing rural areas. Never really even considered the fact that the greatest inspiration for this comes from real life and my surroundings. ::)

It used to be that making the biggest cities you can was this game's main objective. Nowadays, the wide open spaces are a real focal point of SC4. These are some wonderful rural pictures. I'll be following this thread, mostly for ideas.

About time for an update, isn't it?

So Casper... What are you, a farmer "boy" or are you just the son of the farmer????

Note: The quoting of boy does not mean any disrespect.... If it does, I am sorry....
