Hey Guys, here i come with some tactical issues about my favorite SNM lots. $%Grinno$%
Here is a list for the problems of some of the lots:

The PMQs: Fail to appear after marking a 7 x 7 Residential tiles.

The Officers Mess, Central Intelligence, & Naval Technical College: Main building fail to show up

The Naval Supply Bases & SNM MAAM Parks BSC: Something (I'm not sure what it is) is missing as the multi-colour patch is present

Well obviously they are the results of some missing dependencies, however I had installed all of those listed in the readme files except the "SG_RLS_Extras" which was nowhere to be found ()what()

To make things more clear, here is the list of the installed dependencies related in my computer:

The PMQs will only grow if you have the correct demand so you need that.
The Officers Mess needs the SNCG Station.
The Central Intelligence and Naval Technical College need IHT Pharmaceuticals which you seem to have but just check that you have the dat file with the models.
For the Naval Supply Bases and MAAM Parks, can you please post pictures so I can try to see what is missing and what you need?

And sorry for my delay due to different life style of different time zone $%Grinno$%

After checking the IHT Pharmaceutical, it has been found out that the dat file was actually missing, seeming to be deleted accidentally when I ran the Cleanitol. With an re-download plus running the DEDWD Master Dependency List for double checking, The Naval Technical College & Central Intelligence are now working smoothly.

The SNCG Station, that was something I've missed indeed. I got it immediately after reading your reply (which means I have the entire SNM series ;D) & found myself having a nice main building of the Officers Mess as a reward.

And for the MAAM Parks; ar...well as I almost installed the whole series of BSC parks with its dependencies, the multi-colour patch under the centre of mass of the planes is now missing:



And this time, the PMQs grows pretty fast, not having nothing for 3-4 game years after marking the Residential tiles in my previous trial:

But wait a minute, isn't it too colourful compared with this:
especially with a multi-colour patch at the edge between the tiles & the street at the front of it.

The above picture also shows the problem of the naval depot 1, which is the only one having a trouble.

A new problem was discovered at the time I was testing the lot. :-[ The SNM Water Supply can only supply water to, and only to those initial tiles when I plop it. Constructing a water pipe network cannot help solve the case:



The issue can usually be solved by plopping 1 more water tower of the MTP by PEG or the Aussie Windmill - Water by Deadwoods. Same problem also relay to all water tower created by Simgoober.

I am glad most of the problems are now solved. The PMQ houses are actually in many different colours and set to grow in families so each time the result may be different. The LEX image you showed is actually of the R$ but you have the R$$ grown.
Currently all the SNM lots are being updated by jestarr so the water supply will be sorted as part of that. I have the same problem with that one naval supply base and will try to find out what is missing from deadwoods.

Well, I not sure if the following should be posted on here as though it is also related to SNM, its nature is indeed suggestions of concepts rather than technical issues of the game.

I am sure most of us will agree that SNM is doing great in simulation the army and pretty good in that of navy with lots of details, such as training facilities & shops for the simtroops, dry docks, fire stations, etc. However, in my opinion, there's still room for improvement.

For example, Ploppable naval vessels which are ideal for adding the look & feel of ships to waters near the base either as ships underway or anchored and awaiting their turn at the docks, or even anchored at docks as well.

I know it is not a new idea, as many creator had actually done it, including our Japanese friend tabi, whose lots cover both quantity and variability of vessels, and reflect the shortcoming of the SNM in terms of the variance of the ships. You can take a look or download tabi's work over here.

Yet, with respect, seeming tabi had chosen not the most ideal colour for most of his ship and there is, ar... a lack of depth for details on the ship, tabi's lots has a little distance from being great, which is opposite to those ship models of the SNM.  Therefore, I believe the BSC team has the ability to create excellent ploppable naval vessels.

Moreover, I'm afraid the SNM has missed a major sector of morden military, which is the only thing of the SNM which does not make sense in my opinion: WHERE IS THE AIR FORCE??? Just imagine how would our simtroops react after shouting "Broken Arrow!!!" (phrase which means the US forces are facing a total failure on a battlefield, used in Vietnam) via tactical radio and found out the SimNation could not provide any air support as they did't have one! :angrymore:

I hope my advice would be useful to you guys, and I'm willing to apologize if I had offended anyone.

Regrettably ripptide who was the prime mover and BATter for the SNM project disappeared from the community nearly two years ago. No one else has wanted to take up the project so I'm afraid that the few air force lots remain unreleased. If he were to return I am sure the air force would be completed.

Can it help deal with the case if launching a modular air base pack?
Such that, with the aid of RMIP, only lots of control tower, hangers, radar, aircrafts are required, which are what the AC Team good at making. Oh, and of course some Surface-to-Air Missile & Anti-Aircraft Guns in case of an enemy air raid.

(If you want to make things easier, maybe you may contact tabi & smart_speeder, the Japanese who also made some excellent military aircraft model for individual player to modify by lot editor, see the two F-15 Eagle made by the latter on the upper left hand corner of the 1st picture I've uploaded. Visit here for more of his lots.)

The SNM Air Force got put onto the back burner with a number of other projects. I shall see if I can interest the AC Team again.
I have found your missing building for the Naval Supply Bases. It is in The Cal Fame Packing Shed lot by jestarr.

You are welcome to post them here as I shall see them. I do have to warn you though that there are unlikely to be any new BATs for this project and I don't have time just at the moment to make new lots.

Have you used the SC4Tool (english) by simrolle and Andreas ( http://kurier.simcityplaza.de/details.php?file=315 ) to check the dependencies?

At the moment i cant find round about 14 Props and 4 Textures for the whole (i think so) SNM-Stuff.
After Lunch and testing in game i will post more details.

I think your English is better than many "native" speakers!  ::) You should try downloading the BSC Cleanitol from the LEX. I think there is a cleanitol for the SNM but that's iffy. I know there's a cleanitol file for everything BSC.

Guys, I appreciate your help though problem was solved. In fact it is hard to see such a warm support, as according to my own experience, the web is a very cold place and I have to admit that I didn't have much confidence to receive an answer for my problem at the moment I started this post. Hence, I shall pay my tribute to all helpful fellows for your assistance. &apls

Just for your information: Since I have to get ready for the Advance Level Examination of Hong Kong, I am afraid I will be inactive in this post until the mid April next year. Hello, fellows~ I'm back again, with body and soul free from exam!  $%Grinno$%

Recently I was toying with a concept that may help the realization of the Air Force series of the SNM (aka SNM-AF?):

The best place to post this would be in the AC Team Forum as they are the aircraft experts. Voltaire did do some work with ripptide on the SNM-AF so you may just get him to co-operate.
