im trying to make a lot with a basetexture that will confirm to the installed sidewalk.
my thought was to give the lot the maxis sidewalk texture that than will be replaced by the installed sidewalk mod.
for this i opened the exemplar file of the lot  and replaced the ID from the texture i have given it in LE with the ID of a maxis sidewalk texture
but after i did this no texture appears in the lot. i tried this also with a standard texture and it works but also then it seems to be buggy with strange results.
have anyone an idea how to do that

thanks

paul

You cannot use network textures on lots. Create a new base texture and use the graphics from the original Maxis sidewalk textures and/or the sidewalk mod you're using. If you want to have exchangable textures (that adapt to the installed sidewalk mod), use the same ID for all sidewalk textures, and put them in individual DATs. Now, when you use the Maxis sidewalks, install the "Maxis_sidewalk.dat" with a Maxis-style texture, and when using Jeronij's sidewalk, for instance, use the "jeronij_sidewalk.dat" that includes a texture with the same ID, but using jeronij's texture.

thanks andreas i already expected that the problem is that they are network textures but didnt know that there will be no way to get them in the lot.
