Hi folks,

meanwhile i was going on with another W2W i started in the first days of this year. The Ganymed was and is still one of the famous places to chill out and have a coffee or something to eat. The building was not damaged very hard, but the GDR authorities removed all the ornaments. Only the mosaic stayed. Anyway i was able to do the pre war version using an old blue print.

thats how the building looks today

hope you like it, still some works on the roof and the backyard.

@Sciurus: Yes, i'm still using Gmax and i guess it is too late for me starting with Max. Just remember my sculpture tutorial. It is not that hard batting detailes in Gmax.

@all: I was also going on a little with Neue Synagoge but almost all the works are now on the backside of the building. Just i finished the front so only a small update:

Stunning, although the gold is maybe a bit too shiny or too saturated?

Sciurus

I remember the tutorial you did of course! But I spoke about the preview... do you make them in High?

Stunning BAT, as always! I follow your work :)

Looking back through all the pages of this thread, one really appreciates the incredible collection of masterful reconstructions made by Peterycristi!
The attention to details and the resulting models are truly amazing! &apls &apls &apls
Looking forward to seeing more of your great works here, and sometimes, perhaps, being able to integrate them into my cities.

Hi folks,

after finishing the Ganymed i just found the motivation to go on with some w2w projects i've planed for a while. Not only Paris had a lot of belle epoque buildings, also Berlin did. Carlos made a wonderfull addition to any street corner with the Equitable building. But beside that and some other few there are almost no representative corner buildings for non parisian cities. So i deceided to create one more, just to give our cities more variety.

I've no idea about the function or name of the building, as i guess it was just a very noble apartment house, just not far away from Friedrichstraße and Unter den Linden. It is inspired by the one on the right side:

hope you like it so far.

Really nice progress on the synagogue. The latest w2w's are very neat as well, can't have enough corner buildings!

That would be great. You are right - Paris far outnumbers Berlin in BATs at the moment. And I would be delighted to see you even that up some more. :)

Wow!  Especially love that skeletal black dome, it's like the perfect urban porch/lookout.  The synagogue is pretty amazing too, also with a beautiful dome.
