Update #7: Modernopolis falls into recession!

OK, I decided to have some fun with my region and tried to simulate what could happen to Modernopolis if it really did fall into a recession. The definition of ''recesssion'' is an economy that loses growth in 2 straight quarters. All hell breaks loose as you will find out what will happen to some of the worlds most valuable banks and condos!

Here you see worried investors as they see their life savings evaporate!











This shows the demand of Modernopolis. Note how demand has plummeted for all levels of res. and only low welath comm and industry

Lawman Brothers is an international known law firm that has received a collections of awards for their customer service and highest rated law firm.They have a market value of over $500 billion and is the #1 law firm in the world! They have been recently in economical troubles with their bad assets in the market. Unfortunately,they have gone bankrupt and have not found a buyer.

After the crash,they did not find a buyer and have filed for bankruptcy



Asian Incororated Group (AIG) The worlds most finiacially stable bank with assests totalling $3.7 trillion.This is the leading bank with over 100 years in the business. It has expanded to all parts of the world and is widely recognized for their quality of banking.Unforutunely,like Lawman Brothers,they have invested in bad stocks that have seen their value drop by 80% with an estimated valie of only $80 billion in 2008 ($1 trillion in 2007) Thankfully, I have bought out AIG for a bargain at $20 billion, saving the company from bankruptcy.

Ha Ha i just notice that one of those buildings was AIG.  Thats awesome, although duh!  you know they wouldnt let that happen, they would ask for another 70 billion to pay the bills and take a vacation!  cant wait for more

Wal-mart, in trouble?  No way.  That could never happen.  Modernopolis must have it pretty bad for that to happen.  Although this update is none too positive, it is quite realistic, bluesinjid.

Update #16: Walkthrough in making a modern area!

Ok,because of a lot of people requesting a tutorial on how i make my city,today i will show you a new area with all the tips and guidethroughs!!!

Please give a round of aplause to starrychex, my 200th post!What he wanted most was a tutorial and todays update will hopfully help him create his own city and give you viewers some inspiration for yours!!

Here is the area I will develop (partly) in this update.




After plopping a few buildings,it looks like this.



We look west and we see Modernopolis Waterview Hotel.



A great addition to this area is using the BSC park,which can be found on the LEX



Time for a secret: Using the traffic generator can similate traffic in your city to make it more living and wont clog up your roads!!I use one transit enabled

THose are some great pictures, I also liked the horrific update.  It's always nice to build cities up and than tear them down,

Let me first say that I am sorry for that.
I love each and every mosaic that you posted in these updates. They look superb. And the update with the Recession was great! And the pictures in the last update are a "wow"! I cant decide which one I like the most. Rely wonderful work!

Update 9: Modernopolis Steers Clear Of A Recession!

Finally,Modernopolis has recovered fully from the recesssion,and have begun the huge projects again!
Today,you will see the projects on the West-Side, a new immerging neighbourhood that will consists of a huge park,transit hubs,bikelanes,mixed use skyscrapers etc.
This is a new $2.3 Billion project to expand downtowns waterfront.

First off we look at part of the new expanded waterfront park.





Again...Note a construction lot in this pic! Wonder what it will become!





Here is a new transit hub.Note a new GLR station and a new subway/busstop to accommadte the new influx of residents and commuters.






Now,it is time to see some planned construction!

Here is the park underconstruction. It will be complete near years end.

Update #10: Olympic bid in Modernopolis!!

OK, as you all have been wondering why this is a special update?

It is because I have officially made a bid for the simylpics!! Modernopolis will earmark in total a staggering $210 billion for the simolympics! This $ will be used for new infrastructure,new modern hotel/residence,a marina,public transportation,the stadiums,and some scenery.


Here is one of the hotels that will be used to accomadate the tourists.



Here is the new Olympic tennis stadium. A $20million tennis court that seats 5000.



The big cheese! Here is the Modernopolis Olympic Main Building. This was the most costly pegged at $650 million. This stadium will fit in 100 000  lucky visitors.



Now Ill present you  a mosiac on the area!

It seems that Modernopolis has gone through quite a bit since my last visit.  From a recession to an economic boom, your last few updates has been entertaining and fun to look through.  Nice job, keep up the good work

Great update, bluesingid! Really like how you transistion from a massive downtown to a nice mid-rise area on the waterfront.
