MY fault: 've done a mess - can you recognize it?

This time it is really my fault: seeking for plopable versions of some CAMeLOTs, to remove them from landmark menu, I have deleted by mistake the model of a 7x4 dirty industry lot (or maybe manufacturing).
Using the querry is useless because it is no longer considered as an industry but just as zoned land. Using backup files has been useless.
I can't recognize it: can you?
Sorry for taking space for my own personal mistakes :(

You haven't deleted the model or there would be a large brown box. It looks as though you have deleted the lot file. The file in question is marcszar's Domino Sugar Plant so check to make sure you still have IM$$7_7x4_Domino Sugars Plant_44e9f2f9.SC4Lot in plugins as that is the growable lot.

No. In fact I don't have it, because I don't like it as growable and wished to prevent it from rising.
I have even deleted the "Kougyo" because I don't want it to grow - as for the Domino Sugar - since they are so specific and unique that, IMHO, they don't merge well with other industries, so that I prefer to plop them instead. But now, instead, I have a lame 4x4 (Koygyo) or 7x4 (Domino S) empty areas with arrows (like in zone view) without them.
How may I prevent them from growing?

Anyway, thank you very much for the support: you guys here on SC Devotion are really very kind and trusteable!

BarbyW

As the building exemplar for each is in the appropriate file by deleting the growable lot file it should no longer grow. Bulldoze the area, dezone then rezone once you have made sure you have deleted the growable file and you should be fine.

You know, I'm beginning to believe that it is not my fault.

In fact, I have seen that CAM version of Domino Sugar is 3.0, while I'm almost sure that I have an older one. I have just donwload it from LEX and files have different names. I'm just not too sure about what I have to do now!
If I choose to update the old domino, I would have to check and open all of my pre-existing maps to prevent crashes or brown boxes! ( :'() If I don't, I think I will never fixt the trouble!
Geez, too many files: I'm confused!

My domino files:
Growable_Domino Sugars-0x6534284a-0xb18f380b-0xb1eb2e0b
Domino Sugars-0x5ad0e817_0x31e7aa8f_0x30000
Ploppable_Domino Sugars_11eb3f1b

Domino 3.0 files:
IM$$3_7x4_Domino Sugars Plant_14e9f3e0
IM$$7_7x4_Domino Sugars Plant_44e9f2f9
MSZ_MODEL_Domino_Sugars_Plant
PLOP_7x4_Domino Sugars Plant_64e9ee17

Quote from the LEX description:

QuoteThis BAT is the same as the previously available version on the STEX, but the stats have been updated with the PIM-X. Remember to remove any previous versions of this BAT from your plugins folder before using this version.

The model is the same but the lots are different and with different IIDs. This does not explain why the lot has grown if you have removed all the growable lot files. I am beginning to suspect that the above had grown before you removed the file but you only saw it afterwards. If you do not have the growable for either version then it CANNOT grow.

ARRGG!!!! It is not possible!
Probably you are right, but cleaning the game from unwanted elements is really an odissey!!!!
Now I have understood that many of the unwanted items are by Simgoober, but they are not into single files but grouped into bigger ones! IT is not fair!!!
Those are some of the responsible files:
SG EZflo
SG_lots_IM1
SG_lots_IM2
SG_Models_IM1
SG_Models_IM2
And I've download them because they are required as dependencies for CAM!
I can't belive that I can't get rid of marijuana farms or soe "funny & unwanted" things as pirates rum distillery or santa's work! I want my cities to look serious, not funny!
This is the result for trying to remove the unwanted ones with SC4 tool! Can you see? This is a new map and I see that the buildings are not growing, but instead rectangles and squares are coming up, like in the zone view!
One is near the avenue, the other one in the low-right corner.

For the CAM dependencies you only need to keep the model files and then ONLY for the lots you wish to use. The lots CANNOT grow without the lot files so all you have to do is to remove the two files labelled SG_Lots.  The lots and models were kept separate for that reason.
How have you tried to remove lots with SC4Tool? And what files have you tried to remove then from? It appears that you are trying to do things that you have not the experience to do and are making more and more of a mess.

I have followed your advice, restoring the edited files and removing the SG_lot(s).
Of course, you are right when telling that I'm just making a greater mess, but I would also like to see if I can fix troubles by myself instead than asking here all the time.
I mean, you are all volunteers and I prefer not wasting your time except if it is strictly necessary for me, that is when I can't do something alone).
Somethimes, I feel like that "thank you" is just not enough.

BarbyW

If you want to fix things yourself, you need to look at iLive Reader not SC4Tool but it needs a degree of expertise that will take time to understand.
You don't need to use all the lots listed in the CAMelot list if you don't like some humour - notably SG lots - but if you don't download them you should not use Maxis lot blockers for any type/wealth levels where you are missing lots. That way you will get the benefit of the Maxis lots to fill in the gaps. Alternatively you can always bulldoze any that grow that you don't like - and by the way there are no marijuana lots whatsoever in any of the sets.

Absolutely right, even if I don't use maxis blocker and fukitool looks very similar to cannabis...

BarbyW

Quotefukitool looks very similar to cannabis

Really? I wouldn't know and Fukitol has been a long standing comunity joke, especially at simpeg so I don't think anyone takes it seriously.

Watever... the most important thing is that it does not fit with my "serious" gameplay concept. Anyway, tastes are subjective and thanks a lot for support
