Alfred.Jones: Thanks!

mightygoose: And thank you!

Arthur (art128): Thanks, Arthur! The big planters are called "Paseo Plantejo," I believe. The "Paseo" part is definitely in the name, though, so if you search for that, you should be able to find it. Good luck!

JoeST: Ha! I'm thinking the same thing!

carkid1998: Nor can I!

Jon (JBSimio): Wow! Thanks, Jon! I'm so happy that you like the new area, my friend! Hope to see you here again soon, my friend!

Battlecat: Thank you, my friend!

bat: Thanks!

metarvo: Thank you! I'm starting to get a bit nervous about the diagonals! Take care!

Alex (Tarkus): Hi, Alex! Thank you so much for your very kind words, my friend!

Joan (Jmouse): Thanks, Joan! And yes...I...did use...the roof edge colors...on purpose! Just kidding, I didn't even notice that! I'm happy that you like it, either way, though! And, I guess there's nothing left but the diagonals! Take care, Joan!

Alex (Driftmaster07): Thank you so much, Alex!

Luke (Luke09): Thanks, Luke! To add things to your profile, just go to "Profile" in the red bar at the top of the forums pages, then under "Modify Profile" in the left menu block, choose "Forums Profile Information," then you can fill in the box under "Signature." If that's not what you're looking for, just let me know, and we'll try and get it straightened out from there!

Piotr (Sheep49): Hello, Piotr! Great to see you, my friend! Thank you for all your wonderful comments and your wonderful advice on the diagonals! I will most certainly be consulting your advice when I begin the actual development. Thank you for your best wishes, and I hope to see you again soon!

UPDATE XXXVI
Six Months!
5 May 2009

Today—May 5, 2009—is the six-month anniversary of the Commonwealth of Marathon. In the past six months, I have had the incredible pleasure of presenting my work to all of you, my friends, and you have embraced my work with such support that "overwhelmed" cannot even scratch the surface of how I feel! In these six months, we've had over 1300 replies and close to 37000 views!

As we did in UPDATE XIV-B: Two Months Down...A Look Back!, we'll now present a bit of a statistical analysis of the great support that you've all given here...

Above is the amount of posts that have been made in Marathon for each month from the opening in November up until April 30, 2009, consisting of the first six months.

And...

...here's the big one!

This chart illustrates how many posts have been made by ever person who has posted in the Commonwealth of Marathon—minus me, of course! There have been 99 different people who have posted at least once here, and at the top of the list is our wonderful friend, our Bielefelder bat, with exactly 100 posts here!

And, well, we have to celebrate, too, don't we? Hope you like it!

Finally, in a nod to our very good friend David (dedgren) and 3RR, we'll declare May 5, 2009, a...

...to commemorate six months here in the Commonwealth of Marathon! If you're stopping in and read this, drop us a line and help us celebrate! If you're unfamiliar with No Lurking Days, have a look over at 3RR!

In all seriousness, though, thank you all from the bottom of my heart for what have been the six greatest months that I have spent here in the SC4 community. All of you have made the Commonwealth of Marathon what it has become thus far, so this celebration is not about me or about Marathon, it is about you! Give yourselves a big round of applause and toast yourselves—you deserve it!

The next six months begin now!

Alfred.Jones

I always love your stats Dustin :P

Very nice celebratory mosaic as well. It has been a great six months and I know i'm looking forward eagerly to the next six months!

Now stop stalling and get onto those diagonals! jks

Congratulations with six month celebration of Marathon. What kind of party would we have on 5 November 2009? Keep up the excellent work!

Best,
Maarten

EDIT: Oh, I almost forgot to mention that it's Bevrijdingsdag (translation: Liberation Day) in the Netherlands. We celebrate our freedom, because on 5 May 1945, WW2 officially ended here.

Well now, with a no lurker day, I guess I ought to pop back in again and say hi. The diagonal roads were a great addition and all the details on the lots so have have really put that cathedral in its place there. I can only imagine what the rest of the parts will look like when all the diagonals are filled in. You've set quite a challenge for yourself, but I'm sure you're up for it. Nice little mosaic you've shown too. Glad to see some good development going in, and it's also good to see that the station is getting used well after all the work you put into it. Good stuff Dustin. Congratulations on 6 months, and here's to many more such celebrations to come.

Congrats on the Six great months Dustin.
All I have to say is....."I told you so!"  I knew all along you woul do well, okay, okay....I thought you would and I was right at any rate.  Fantastic work, super tutorials, awesome mosaics and everything...well....is just a great pleasure to always come and view.
Here's to the next six months and beyond.
Today, I officially lost my voice completely.  Apparently, I have laryngitis says the doctor.  I could have told him that.  I sat in the doctor's waiting room, in the new coughing section, where everyone must wear a mask, including myself with a bunch of other people that looked like they were going to die for just over an hour to find I should go back home and relax and drink alot of warm fluids.  I think I'm in the wrong profession. :P Anyways...now when I talk, I either have a very hoarse voice or nothing comes out.  Kinda cool, I sound like The Big Balbolski from WWE.  "Hello Ladies......"  ()stsfd() :D
* It looks like I need to post just a few more times to move up higher than a certain other person

Congrats on over 1300 comments and over 37000 views in just six great months, Dustin!
Looking forward to the next updates....

And BTW, this is my 7000th post in the forum and the 101st in your MD! I think it's one great place for this post!

metarvo

I guess I had better post today, given the occasion.  Honestly, with a wonderful mosaic like that one, how can I not post?  The variety of buildings in the mosaic alone display a true commitment to the quality of this MD.  Marathon has inspired me to download a fair number of buildings, and I'm sure there will be more as time goes on.  Give yourself a big hand of applause, because you've earned it, Dustin!

I wasn't actually going to say that, but since it's No Lurking Day...  :D  Congratulations on all your successes here, my friend.  If this is only the six month mark, who knows what you'll have in store by the time we get to your first anniversary!  Here's to the next six months...

Impressive, very impressive, very very impressive mosaic for you did on the latest upadte!! &apls I just can congratulate you &apls
But for the french message you posted, I don't know what you mean, because what you wrote just means nothing!! :P For a bette translation, I think I'll say you to write, I don't know, beacause I don't know what word in english to use to translate your message.... ()sad() Sorry..... The own translation I can propose you is "Aucun jour de cachette", did with Babelfish, but I'm not sure it's right..... I don't know if it's in the sense of furitve or concealed, if you could tell me, so I could do a correst translation, beacause I don't like to see french sentences, which doesn't meann nothing. Sorry again... :'(
And I saw a thing which surprised me: I posted there just 25 times?! I think I'll must stop by there much time ::)
Oh, I forgot one thing, HAPPY SIX MONTH MARATHON &hlp(oh, this city ran a big Marathon... :D)

This no lurking day theme is causing my 4th comment in your MD (that I view almost everyday by the way..).  But instead of commenting every day wow's and good-job-like-comments (it would have been over 150 posts of me, imagine...), I only comment when I am realy with my jaws on the keyboard. You put the standard too high my friend.  ;)

But you know - I enjoy every minute spent here  so this no lurking day is once again  a good reason to let you know that ! :satisfied:

Congratulations on six great months in Marathon, Dustin. Nice mosaic, too - I especially like the area around the train station. But if you think this is going to get you off the hook of filling in those diagonals, think again.
