Daryl (daryl7478[): No, thank YOU, my friend! Without ideas and suggestions like yours, I don't know where we'd be here! Thanks again, Daryl!

Gjermund (kwakelaar): Hello! So wonderful to have you here, my friend! Thank you for your very kind words, and I hope to see you around again soon!

warconstruct:
Merci beaucoup!

Cyclone1001: Thanks!

Here's a quick overview of Cullercoats—the more populous municipality in the amalgamation of Cullercoats and Whitley Bay...

I have some more substantive ideas in my head...hopefully, I'll be able to bring them to fruition over the next few days!

In a bit!

Battlecat

Hey, glad you like the mod!  Looks great in your city.

I really like that old factory building at the top of this shot, great job on the surrounding town as well.  Glad to see more regular updates, apparently I haven't been paying close enough attention lately!

Wow, that's what I call a superb suburb, my friend! ;) Very good work with the transition between the higher rowhouses and lower family homes. I see I'm not the only fan of Mattb's houses around here... They're just so great that you just can't help but eager for a moment when they finally grow out of that green zone you've just made. Also, I would add that in the last update your work with the shore is great. Very good use of Peg's kit. Oh, and splendid work on that lighthouse (at least I think it's a lighthouse... hehe, I guees you can never be 100% sure with all those great BATs) on a little hook shaped peninsula. It looks very nice, and, if it's not a problem, I'd love a close-up pic of it. :) Regarding the newest picture, which is lovely, nothing is very much to be improved there. The only suggestion I really can think of is probably to choose some lower trees along the road curve, more or less in the middle of the pic. While I totally adore these plants and how they hide the curve behind from the viewer, I think that it looks a bit too much like woods now, and quite "out of context", since they just grow up from nowhere. Unfortunately, I can't figure out any propositions for substitute trees from top of my head, but I think there are some pine-trees that are lower than those and may look as good as those.

On the different subject, yesterday I decided to spend my precious money on my first Bruce Springsteen's album that isn't a compilation - Born To Run. Great stuff I should say. Now I see why he's The Boss in music!

Keep up the great work, Dustin! Can't wait for more ;)

Dustin, awesome picture my friend, I really love the effect you used with it.

As Piotr just said, the transition between the row houses district and the small familial houses is extremely goodly done. I like how the river goes though the suburbs it's a nice touch to break the repetition of the houses. Great job with the industrial sector, that big factory fits quite well there - Can you link me to it ? I never saw it..

Can't wait for more !

Do you have any plans on naming all the streets and roads in your suburbs like you did on Marathon Island? Also, this is my 40th post.

canyonjumper

Waiting eagerly for more! Great pic!

A great overview, Dustin. Cullercoats looks interesting in that it will have some higher-rise buildings than Whitley Bay, which seems to be smaller town of the municipality.

Great overview picture there, I love the mix of suburbs and low rise buildings you have there

Battlecat: Hello! I should be thanking you for such a great mod, my friend! I don't know how I didn't have it earlier. It's just perfect. Thanks again!

Piotr (Sheep49): Hi, Piotr! Such very kind and insightful words from you, as always, my friend. I'm so glad to have your thoughts and ideas here in Marathon again! Oh, and
Born to Run is fantastic, isn't it? "Jungleland" is one of my all-time favorite songs! Take care, Piotr!

Arthur (art128): Thanks, Arthur! As for the big factory, I'm unsure exactly which one it is, but it's definitely one of the many great works of Jess (jestarr), and can be found on the LEX. Happy hunting, and thanks for stopping by!

Daryl (daryl7478): Not to worry, my good friend—on the way...eventually! Thanks again for your great suggestions. I think you can read my mind! Take care!

Jordan (canyonjumper): Thank you, Jordan!

Ethan (ecoba): Thank you, Ethan! You're right, too—Cullercoats is more of an urban setting than Whitley Bay. Hope to see you again soon!

Will (penguin007): Thanks, Will!

djvandrake: Thanks!

So, tomorrow was supposed to be a day off for me...supposed to be—now I'm going into work at 1:00 PM. Oh, well! How about an full-tile view of Cullercoats and surrounding areas?

It's not quite complete yet, but we're getting there!

More on the way!

Cyclone1001

Very nice! I love the golf course! Can't wait for more.

Battlecat

Nice one!  Love the huge golf course there!

calibanX

Excellent looking view of that whole tile Dustin. I will echo others by saying that golf course is a beautiful addition.

Same comment here.  Love the golf course and the layout looks great.  I especially like all the trees you've kept in the mix.

art128

Now that is an awesome overview there, Dustin !

The golf course is perfectly placed there, between the existing houses area and the to be developed ones. I can also see that you're building a park at the top, it's in the good place I think. Also, your houses settings and the development you're doing there remember me the housing estates along the coasts of Florida or nearby Corpus Christi.

Great work man !

Arthur.

Yay! The overview looks wonderful, Dustin. Looks like there might have been some former logging on the east side of town.
