News:

The SC4 Devotion Forums are no longer active, but remain online in an archived, read-only "museum" state.  It is not possible for regular members to post or use the private messaging system, and no technical support will be provided for any issues pertaining to the forums in their current state.  Attachments (those that still work) are accessible without login.

The LEX has been replaced with SC4Evermore (SC4E), and SC4E maintains an active Discord server.  For traditional forums, we recommend Simtropolis.

Well, just because I used to understand Simcity and all related does not mean I can qualify as knowledgable anymore.

I switched computers a number of months ago and just thought of SC4 for the first time with this PC.  Though I copied all my plugins, i really want to start from scratch (with an emphasis on keeping the folder organized and remembering what has and has not been downloaded already).

Which mods and BATS from the past twelve months are "essential" in the eyes of the 2008 SC4 player (especially those that come in handy when rebuilding the plugins folder)?

There have been several "must have" lists, try a search.

Alternatively, if you can wait a few days and are willing to donate to Devotion, the LEX Disk is jam packed full of the best content covering many years and includes some exclusives that will be unavailable anywhere else. It has the latest NAM, every BSC dependency (and other dependency packs) and works from old favourites like Simgoober, Gascooker, Cerulean, Xannepan plus many, many, many more.
