Vivien,
Sorry for being quiet in here for so long. I have some progress done on the KFC and will hopefully have something ready in a week.

School has a way of filling time. It's almost a month later, but I have the draft of the KFC minus textures. Let me know what you think. If there are no big ussues, then it's time to texture.

Wow, wonderful my friend, I love.  &apls

Do you like the Hard-discount ?

threestooges

I'm not familiar with the actual store and its relative size, but I like what I see so far. A few extra textures here and there, and perhaps a few details for the roof (vent pipes, worn/dirty spots, perhaps an A/C unit) and I think it's well on its way. Good work.

Just a quick update on the KFC. Things are going well, and I'm about to start the smaller details (drive-thru box, sign, etc) and the texturing is about to begin.

Pat

Sweet Matt I cant wait to see further progress on it and BTW what is the size on it so far??? I was wondering and looking at the RL pic from your inspiration and I have a few idea's for textures maybe if I can pull it off...

Pat,
The building, in its present form, is just slightly wider than 1x2 so it should fit on a 2x2 lot. I can send you a draft render to fit on to a lot while I finish off the building if you're interested. Let me know.
-Matt

Pat

sounds like a plan and hey what about using our new download area?? I could get the file when I get home and begin working on it from there...

That's the plan Pat. Look for it there in a few minutes. Just fiddling with the station textures now.
-Matt

-edit- The file has been uploaded Pat. I'll look forward to seeing what you come up with for it.

allrighty I just got home after beening at the fire house all day for our annual fishing jamboree!!! YaY!!! I didnt catch a thing except for falling on the ice lol... OK I will start working on this now...

EDIT:

I notice there is an offset... I can correct it as is but more or less to let you know for when you do the actual building there was the offset...

Oh rats... you know, you're completely right. I BAT these things on the +/+ quadrant of the xy plane (makes the math easier in some aspects). I'll fix that for the final upload, but if you want, I can pop a new model up for you. Just let me know.
-Matt

Pat

That would be helpful matt lol... I tried to do my little fix and all I managed to do is shrink the building foot print...

Changing the building footprint is a neat trick, but it would help to have a properly positioned building, wouldn't it. The file will be updated in about 30 seconds (or as long as it takes me to get to the download area from here).

Pat

OK Matt I did get the correct building yay and here is what Ive been up to so far... I do have to say making textures from scratch is fun!!! No I mean it its truly fun, but it is a small pain trying to get everything lined up... I think I have a good start so far for the tiles? Here is what I am talking about....

Looking good so far Pat. Think you could squeeze it onto a 2x3 as well? It'd add a little bit of variety to the growables. Nice work, and I'll see if I can get it textured over the next little bit.
