Problem Installing Landmarks & Props from EA

I get error saying SC4 was not found properly installed on your computer. Any trick to making them think it is. If I can't install them I just won't use them. A shame though since a couple new lots I DL'd have castleramparts as dependency.

My default location is D:\My Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins instead of the C: drive - actually I have everything in D:\ProgramFiles\SimCity 4\Plugins but the c:\mydocuments\... folder is still there to catch all the readme and help files from all the lot installers of the good people that make this game so great.


My game is completely up to date - RH/Deluxe.
I've never had problems with these lots before, so something is screwy somewhere. My default has always been on D: but I can't figure it out.

Sounds like the registry is pointing to the wrong location. Have you reinstalled your OS since you last installed Sim City 4? That would clear the registry, where the official patches and plugins look to find the correct path to your Sim City 4 folder. Reinstalling Sim City 4 will fix the problem.

There is nothing wrong with having your game on a different drive, I have always kept my game on a separate drive from my OS.
