Thank you Bernhard!

I supposed you was preparing something interesting for rails, I think if you will release these lots and props and if we will start to use them, our rail networks will completely change and all we have built earlier will look empty and ugly for us  :)

I think your thread will be very interesting, please find some time to make it!

Very nice tram interchange there, khoianh94!

That's a very nice picture of the rail, Nardo69!!

Here are two (actually one) of my pictures:

Now then for the rail roads

Thanks to the work in developing the EL Heavy Rail Viaduct, the Solarian Imperial Transit Department have begun raising 75km of rail in Core Cities to eliminate clumberson railway crossings and speed up commute times both on road and rail.

First a small section in Solarian City through the Town Centre

The line being Southern East West Solarian Line coming in from Solarian Point

It goes back down to normal ground level as a new elevated highway was built just further up to replace a clumberson Avenue intersection.

More raising of the heavy rail system in Solaria this time in Dry River Town along the eastern side of Solaria where about 300m of rail was raised to rid out a dip through the old river bed

Quite some time ago I promised (threatened?) to show some pictures of my railroads in the misc modular creations thread, so here they are:

Godzillaman

Wow! Those rail pics are brilliant MIncroabl! &apls

@MIncroabl:

Nice variety of engines you got there! And nothing to nag on your railway layout (including finishing the retaining walls in time!)

Just for curiosity: Which catenaries are you using? They are neither SFBT nor frogface!

Bernhard

Mincroabl... How!?

That is incredible. Very good railbed. Is this something you're making?

mightygoose

is the wide dirt base something your working on part of your "modular creation" or is it photoshopped?
NAM + CAM + RAM + SAM, that's how I roll....

MIncroabl

Thanks for your lovely comments!

The railbeds and catenaries are of my own design. I created them back in the day when the only available catenaries were the Frogface ones and I needed more sophisticated props than they were. The railbeds are just custom textures on lots mixed with a modified version of PEG's alternate railway set.

Release? You must, you showed something amazing so surely you weren't planning on keeping it to yourself?

Shadow Assassin

You so have to release those lots.  ::)

Great work, that's for sure!

Sorry, but I think I'm going to keep these to myself. It's not that I like to be mean, but some of these lots (especially the long curve ones) are quite tricky to use. Even I have to think twice sometimes how to use them! Many times I also have to create new lots for different rail configurations, as they are quite picky.

I really don't show my rail systems as much as I should.  Oh well.  Have a look at this one:

Interesting placement of the windmills there, Haljackey. I doubt that they'd catch much wind and those pines are dangerously close to the blades... (for nitwits: the blades can rotate in real life %wrd )

Here's some pictures of my new project.

(Thanks to PEGs alternate railway dirt & the SFBT Railway Catenaries!)
