Dave, your picture is good, but it doesn't really have a "flare" to it that I look for in a good picture. And then there's maxis buildings...

Tough one. Each pic is well designed and laid out. Sure there are some Maxis buildings, but there's nothing wrong with that. I love the little buildings (news stands?) in cockatoo's pic, they work really well there. I think that I will vote for tooheys again.

Once again... two really good pictures.    I like the lighting in Cockatoo's picture, but I just can't buy into the idea of palm trees across the street from the bare winter ones.  It probably happens somewhere, but it just looks odd to me... so one more for Tooheys

I love sunken avenue tunnel between those res. towers, and I like the paths you used to get the vertical walls.  The roundabout really looks great, as well.  I wish there were a different tower there besides Lyre Plaza, though.  It's a commercial tower in the middle of all of those residential towers (at least, that's how I identify it as).  Also, the bit of repetition you have in the back sort of bothers me.  I do like the atmosphere this picture has, however...and the traffic in the streets and on the GLR tracks really give life to the picture.

Once again, your photoshopping shines!  This is a very nice street scene.  I love that fence around the building, and that gigantic roundabout that I recognize from your update.  Some things, though...as JBSimio stated, it's weird to see palm trees next to those leafless ones.  Also, the lighting on those trees irks the heck out of me--they're so bright compared to the rest of the picture.  Not only that, but it makes the trees look over-sharpened and too colorful.  Aside from that, though, there's not much wrong with this picture...so I vote for you.

Well, still battling on.

Drswhat that first contest was a beaut and could have gone either way. As a lot of people commented, the curved road with the texture is outstanding.

caspervg, that should have been a lot closer, look forward to a rematch.
