Well.... no need to post what I think of etherian's picture. Been said twice, its a good picture, and I still feel the same about it.

Now.... to TTC. Derry has honestly show us what I feel to be an inherently perfect picture. Everything is in it's correct place, colored very neatly inside the white picket fences and if it weren't for the fact that it was made in SC4 and on this site, I'd think it was a real picture in passing. Personally, I'd have loved to see a nice big red tractor somewhere in the picture, but let's be honest, that's me nitpicking.

I'd like to reiterate that etherian had a great picture. Its gotten through two rounds with well deserved wins. But, well... TTC once again is going to blow me out of the water on this.

etherian's pic, as I have mentioned before, is quite well done, and the use of the transit options is great. Aside from the repetition of some buildings, the pic is excellent (repetition isn't a problem if it used sparingly or consistently). If that one building of the four at the top middle had been turned 90 degrees, it might have fit better visually. But that's a small thing, and it's neat to see that most of that stuff grew by itself (or seems like it did).

The level of technical detail in TTC's pic is excellent. A number of different pieces are used, and it all fits together quite well. For being so close in too, the pic has a great amount of detail (like the end of the road going through the gate) and Porter, there does seem to be a big red tractor just south of the barn in the middle.

It's a difficult decision (one of those rounds I wish I could vote for both) but my vote this round will go to etherian.

A brave entry, of course nothing ventured nothing gained. I like the layout of the city. It makes grids looks good. The street lights and other lights look good when used with the night mod, but details are rather obscured (but no surprise there... it's night). I do notice that there are no cars though. That would have added a bit.

As I've said before, TTC's level of detail and design is great. This round my vote goes to TTC.

I'm more into urban well-planed cities, and Porter, your stuff is always impressive... (excellent use of the canal's btw, you just gave me a massive idea!)

TheTeaCat's pic is just stunning, great rural area, I can't fault it!

Really hard overall, but I think Porter gets it by a hair just because of those canals, but I would have liked it a little brighter so you can see what's going on.

I have to go with TTC on this one. As Cockatoo mentioned, the picture that Jacob (porter) submitted is quite dark, and a bit too dark for me. Great picture with the canal, but just a touch too dark.

Both pictures are good, I like the night pic but don't like that the city seems to end abruptly in the upper right corner. TheTeaCat it is.
