SC4 Picture Competition

I'm in the HoF? That'S Great!  Thanks to all who voted for me! 

But after the competition is within the next competition ... 

Blahrah, there are some things I don't like at your picture:
- The grid is on (see upper left corner)
- The railway on the bridges is higher than the ground level of that (pen-)insula, so why did you go down to the little trains station and then again up to the next bridge? It would've been better to stay on the same level between the bridges.
- The change of sidewalk textures at these oneway-roundabouts really distracts me!
- Retaining walls on almost flat grades - see my pic why I don't like them!
- I cannot determine a special style of architecture as all seems to be there without any kind of order.

Art128's pic is an airport.  I hate airports!  But the parking lot and the fences and the breakwater are put together really nice that's why I vote for art128. (Maybe the first time I vote for an airport instead for a picture with a railway line  )

I agree halfway with Nardo. However, his statement about retaining walls: I agree that they shouldn't exist on shallow grades, but there isn't (AFAIK) a nice tidy way to end them. For this reason, I like to use plop rocks as retaining walls, especially the ones from peg's PPOND set.

blahrah, your picture does make good use of maxis buildings, but its a bit like trying to bake a cake when you have nothing but flour and sugar in the cupboard: It needs some spice (or chocolate chips). You do have a few nice custom buildings, but I recommend more.

I like the representation of Oxford - the street textures are a nice touch, and I love the central park/quad.  The airport looks nice, but there's been a lot of airport saturation recently all over the forums.

That Cylindrical Building absolutly blows my mind, as a beginner BATter i really admire what it took to make that.....anyways this pick has gottago to the next round .........
