SC4 Picture Competition

Hmm, battle of the older pics.  In this case, Sim_idiot's done a nice job working with Maxis stuff, I like the layout and the lighting, but I'm going to go for the peacefulness of Nardo's pic.

I agree about the good use of maxis stuff, and the use of open space is well done too. Nardo's pic however, is clean, very realistic and (knowing the amount of work I do trying to get some rows of rowhomes) shows quite a bit of effort. The small shops near the bottom middle, and the farm field at the top are just the icing on the cake. I'll vote for Nardo.

[Livin in Sim]

Sim_Idiot, there is something so tropical, and yet so Euro about your pic, did you have a certain locale in mind when you did it?  The sunrise really sets it off, good catch with some of the lights still on, and realistic amount of the early morning traffic.

Bernhard, the rowhomes can certainly try one's patience, but there they are, so nicely aligned.  I really like how the street goes up that little hill to them, as does the highway.  It's a little detail that the game so often does not want to allow, but must be preserved for the sake of real looking neighborhoods.  Those particular Jeroni trees are my favorite, and I like how the little path goes along next to the field, and is it the hedges?

Sim_idiot you pic is good to but the downtown pic agains a country style setting is hard to beet... I do really love the sunsetting effect you caught in your pic though....
