Hard decision, but my vote goes to Nikolaï's Votkinsk Rapids

I'm going to go for Nikolai as well. Metasmurf's is nice, but the residential area could use a bit of work IMHO.

First post after a long RL caused abscence ...

And I start with a tough one ...

Metasmurf's scene looks wonderful, with the diagonal filler Lots, the small woods between seddlement and the RHW and the smooth meandering pedestrian way. However the buildings itselves seem to be seen a tad too much and the siding of the RHW is a tad too bright for my taste ...

I like the W2W together with the big "Plattenbau" as well as the meandering creek. However these rocks seem to be a tad too big and too much for me ...

Two nice and well done sceneries, and none of them shows any kind of my favourite theme ...  :-\

But to make a decision with 51:49 I go for Nikolai!

I think that I'm going to vote for Metasmurf pictures. Both Meta and Nikolai spent some time on their scenes placing parks, rocks, paths, and various vegetation. I like both pictures very much but the bright silver colored rocks are a negative for me and tipped the balance toward Smurf's effort.

Both of these are very well done, however, I think my vote will go to Metasmurf, since I'm not very fond of the rocks appearing on the bridge.

Okay - I will challenge. This is my 1st time so if I am doing anything wrong - please forgive me *grin*

EDIT: Just dropped in and saw some of the comments - This was never intended to be a 'medieval city' - but rather the well preserved remnants of the Imperial & Medieval City in the modern city of Valmont. Which is why this is called the 'Tor Valens National Heritage Area'. Think UNESCO World Heritage Sites - such as those areas in the modern city centers that has been set aside for its historical value.

The Tor Valens area is such a preserved site on a bluff overlooking the River Valens (of which you guys shall be seeing in an MD I am planning to release  ;) ) It is divided into an old Imperial City that was preserved and surrounded by the Medieval city that was preserved. The glass building on the right side (or south side as we are facing east) is the main entrance of the entire site being the 'Visitor's Centre'. So, in essence, what I am trying to create is a realistic historical site within my modern city (down to the existence of tourist traps outside) - with no intention of being a medieval city at all. Thanks!
