I wanted to get some realistic feedback on whether the CAM pathfinding (Street simulator) and demand are as good or better than the NAM version. I'm using the NAM right now and before I install the CAM, I would like to know how it compares.

Thanks

I remember Ripplejet saying to use the one that comes with the NAM and delete the one in the CAM folder.  I'm sure he'll be around soon to explain why and if I am correct.

Yes, Kelly, the traffic simulators of NAM have seen quite a lot of development since CAM came out.
Thus, the recommendation is indeed not to use any of those included in CAM, but use whichever you prefer from the latest NAM instead.

Trust Robin (Roin?) on this! ;)

Apologies Robin, missed the b.  :bomb:

The best traffic sim to use with Cam is traffic sim Z for a variety of reasons..
Hope you dont mind me stating my opinion on this matter Tage ?
CAM was one of the big reasons I returned to playing the game almost 2 years ago now..

thanks Brian

Just to see what would happen if i used the 5x one in the NAM and biking in this i re-installed them doing that. And on a city of 400,000i got a commute time of 4-8 minutes. :)

You cannot have them both... it's either or!
If you install any of those included in CAM, that particular one will replace (load after) whichever you have installed with NAM.

Thus, I would not recommend to install any of those included with CAM.
Those included with CAM are older than any of those included in the latest NAM.
If you have installed one with CAM and want to uninstall it, just remove the z_CAM folder. ;)
