Missing trees

The trees that are contained within the different parks have suddenly gone missing in my game.  When I select 'medium park' for example, I just get a 2 x 2 patch of grass.  I can still plant trees individually however.  Does anyone have any solutions to this problem?  It is the original trees/parks that come with the game that I am having issues with.  Not any content I have added myself.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Is it just the trees, or other props as well? Check your graphics settings, they should be set to "high".
