Really nice work! looks like a downtown for a medium sized Japanese city... I like your concept to make that riverfront so realistic as I can see that baseball field and park in the side of river, much what I can see in Tama River (between Tokyo and Kawasaki)...

Oh my goodness!
I wasn´t gone for two and a half years, that is what my last post here did say. So you can imagine, that I had a lot to read and above all to LOOK.  :o

I really adore your passion, and I saw a lot of things, I never tried out by myself, the RHW, the new railtracks, all this wonderful artwork you did with seasonal stuff. Impressed - a small word for my feelings.  :)

One of my favorite pictures is the river with the four or five dams and power stations, I like Peg´s Powerstation and you implemented it so perfectly.  &apls

But the most stunning feature, that you show in your pictures: what you did with nature is so absolutely - nah I stay wordless here. But I can´t count the pictures or parts of them I enjoyed. I love, what you do with cattails - but not only this.  &apls &apls &apls

A wonderful MD, Arthur! Thank You!

Looking like a nice start, love the way you transition from water to land! Nicely done. The cities themselves are shaping up nicely as well.  :)

It does seem like a curse, this whole region revision stuff. You always seem to come back pretty quickly, though.

And SHADOWS!!! They're back, hopefully to stay. Nice to see you got them working again! Pictures without shadows always look gloomy (and off/not quite right) to me.

I especially like those baseball fields by the water. I can never seem to make those things fit in where I want them, but maybe it's just cause I'm too lazy to make it fight properly.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Best of luck on another new region Arthur   Your quest for perfection has yielded great results over the years and the new pictures look like no exception. Lovely city! I'm still jealously eying that central station  ;D

Waow, lots of replies! :)
Thanks for the comments guys!

Hi Willy, nice to see you're still stopping by. :)

Vortext - Here's the next one! ;)  :-[

Here's where I am with things: I have three BATs left to do. One is a 1x2 building in inspired by a building in Toyama, the other one is the 2x1 Fuji latex building. That one was done but unfortunately had a lot of light bleeding. I couldn't be bothered to track down where the light bleed so I decided to take it down and start from scratch, haven't done any work on it though. And finally the last one is the overpass I'm creating for my friend Dantes. I had a version done but I think 10 tiles long is a bit... too much. I have an idea in my head how to make it better and smaller though.

Here's the toyama building as it stands right now.

Now onto the update.

So, well you can guess it. I started yet another region. This time I decided to switch from big city tiles to medium tiles. I think it's more fitting for what I want to do. Plus I can never manage to finish an entire large city tile correctly.

Here's the region. it's a small 3x3 medium city tiles.

And let's start with the update. Today I have a mosaic that shows the airport and its surrounding plus two pictures.

Beautiful work as always.

I really like your river banks. It gives a little something to your atmosphere. I also like your little airports. They are "cutest" than the too big airport I have the habit to seen on SC4. It looks better in my thought.

Awesome work  &apls  I really like the look of your new building. If you don't mind risking me procrastinating again I could do the modding for you  ::)  Best of luck with the new region and lovely airport and surroundings!

Dantes

Pretty suburban space! And your new building looks fantastic! Also, I like the small airport!

That's a sweet little region you got there! And as per usual the mmp-ing is excellent.  &apls

Beautiful work.  That is the kind of detail I strive for but have yet to accomplish.

Please keep sharing.

Thanks for the comments, guys! :)

feyss: I have to agree with you, small airports are way cuter than big monster airports. :)

Noah: Once I've exported this building and the second one, I'll ask you to do the modding.  $%Grinno$%

Firstly, I've updated the airport. I just remodelled it a bit, adding a bigger terminal but still remaining in what I call small airports.

Today I've got an update about the small island: Kami-shima

Some really nice updates. Love your costal towns.

That tempel with the canoes is a nice find.

Dantes

A beautiful, small island! I just wonder why there is such a big school.
