rail ballast removal mod--where?

After hours of site searches and sifting through old DL's, I've reached my wit's end, so this call for help.

Various rail mods refer to Andreas, dedgren and swamper 77  as having made ballast removal mods for rail. I've only found the SFBT one, which is wealth dependent--not what I'm after. Complete removal, like the wide radius curves--who is the author, and where is this file hiding?

I'm not entirely sure where Swamper's version has gone to, but this download by Pegasus has a Rail dirt removal mod included with it.

Not to sound too stupid , but what exactly are you wanting removed? I don't know of any mod to remove the ballast and Pegs only adds a unique base texture to the default Maxis pieces.

thanks very much for the link Fred, It looks to be what I'm after, but just plopped it into my plugins and nada--doubtless a conflict somewhere that I'll have to dig through...

Jayson--first, congratulations for the Hof pic, a wonderful shot.

In this pic, you can see that the the NAM wide radius pieces for rail don't have the brown ballast under them; it's very awkward when you use the pieces a lot, and I've been looking for the mod that removes it from Maxis rail.

I think this is what you're after. The SWAMPER-PEG_NoRailDirt_MOD_205 mod is included in the download.

Yes, after testing it with a few other mods (mine included) this SWAMPER-PEG_NoRailDirt_MOD_205.dat will indeed remove the base from rail. I put a "z" in front to make sure it loaded after my sidewalk mod.
