Nice use of those diagonal buildings. Your city seems very busy and livable

I also think that the open plaza at the top of the pic seems a bit empty. Maybe some planter props (such as the ones made by Simgoober) would make the plaza less... dull. Everything else I wouldn't change a bit, though!

Just stunning pictures in your MD so far! I really like the realism in your pictures and the big mixture of Bats. Your PlugIn folder must be enormous. :D

Battlecat

That's quite the well built test bed there!  Nice mix of building styles!

Schulmanator

Great test city! I am looking forward to seeing  it when it is done :)

The highrises are in contrast to what we've been usually seen (low-rise).  It really has turned out quite nicely.

I'm sorry, but I just got a small teaser for you today...
I've been experimenting with transparent textures, diagonal fields and other things.
You were able to see the CBD of a rather big city in the last Update... I decided to continue working on that city and I'm currently trying to build the suburbs ;).

I hope to post an Update, soon :).

Fantastic teaser and fantastic work with the transparent textures  &apls &apls &apls

a minor critical for me, perhaps some filelds are "too clean", but that's just my point of view  ;)

keep us the good work

Yann.

Great teaser.  I'm a big fan of those seasonal trees and they look great in your landscape.

Your farms look very nice, Fabian! Nice work with the transparent textures  ;). Although I do agree with Yann that the fields do seem a bit too "clean". I know of a prop pack that has some nice, uh... props that may be useful.
They can be found in BSCMegaProps JES Vol01 and BSCMegaProps jestarr Vol02. The props you'll want to check out are:

jes_Grass-1Clump01
jes_Grass-3Clump01
jes_Weed02

These props are small, so I suggest plopping several of these together to get a more visual effect. You can find them towards the end of the prop list in the Lot Editor.

This is a Maxis prop, but I tend to use this in my lots more often than not: Flora 2x2x2_QuarterShrub_1EDF

Since I know you're a whiz with the LE, I know you'll have no problem with this . These are just suggestions, so don't feel obligated to do these. Keep up the splendid work, Fabian!

I like your work with the transparent textures. The default grass is quite nice. It can look a little too clean though. You might want to try some plopped grass and undergrowth. It would work well with those textures.

Fantastic again, Fabian!! Awesome rural area!!! I agree with Yan about some filelds are "too clean", but I think that it is a kind of style, and on this case is the your style of play SC4, Fabian!!! Style that I think very cool!!!

Battlecat

Great update!  Those farms look excellent, you're putting those new SFBT lots to excellent use!

kwakelaar

Great use of the diagonal Swiss farms, they do look splendid in this MD.
Then I would like to ask you how you did the textures for the farm in the first picture. It seems like they are extending beyond the lot, how did you achieve that effect?

Schulmanator

Loving this. And esp the first pic... the dirt crossing the vehicle tracks... just perfect. Nice, nice work.
