Update 22

I decided to leave the urban planning for sometime else, because I got a bit bored of it. So I started building a town, eeer, actually it's port ;D You might think it's a bit too big for town that will have just a few thousands of citizens, that is because that port will serve the nearby towns ;)
So, I picked up a new city and started terraforming...

... then started forming the main part of the port.

After that I put some warehouses...

...and realized that usually ports have rail access $%Grinno$%

And here's the result of all that work:

Here are two mosaics showing more details

And now it's the first time I'm showing you a regional shot! (click for bigger resolution) As you can see, there's a lot to build in this region ;)

I still haven't invited names for the Parisian-looking city and the villages to the northwest. If you have any suggestions for names, go ahead and post them here!
That's all for today, hope you liked this update!

Very cool update indeed.  Neat to see the steps you went through to build such a cool looking port!  Nice looking region as well, looks like you've got a huge amount of space left still!

While I'm rendering some models now, I'm just looking through some MD's. So I'm stopping by here, and looking at your MD, I see it's one of the better MD's. Your cities look splendid and I see you are using some of my CC  ;)! (Although I see a trumpet interchange with outdated textures. There is an updated HRS texure file available on ST.)

Keep up the good work!

Hey !
It's nice to see a port built step by step my friend, nice work with this little port. Everything seems to be well thought and I like the general shapes of the port. Although, i'm not fan of the containers lots you used, three cranes are a bit too much for a little port like that..  ;)
Anyway that's a nice pore you've done !

Take care,
-Arthur.
I'll take a quiet life... A handshake of carbon monoxide.

Update 23

I'm happy to present you Paradise Island :satisfied: It's a small resort island, located near the port of Kraimorie (from the previous update). It's only connection with the mainland is a ferry dock. The architecture of the island is a mixture of old W2W buildings and modern hotels and offices. I won't show you an overview of the island because some parts of it are still in the works ;)
So, here's a bird's eye view of the old town: (click for bigger resolution!)

Clouds over the cathedral - it looks like it's going to rain...

Hope you liked this update (this was my first attempt at making clouds and rain in photoshop ()stsfd())
Any feedback is welcome!
