Graphics problem...?

fired up sc4 today, and noticed it looked a little strange.

see the black noise/lines?  it seems to only be the terrain, as buildings and network textures are fine.

hardware rendering ,  @ 1680 x 1050 res
nothing new installed. i'm prtty sure.

You may want to check the game's graphic detail settings, and make sure the detail is set to high... just in case...

Hmm, that looks like dithering noise. Did you change the color depth? Is antialiasing etc. switched off in the graphic card drivers?

all good   looks like visual effects and shadows needs to be set at medium. while everything else is high.

i wonder what got me into this mess in the first place
