Wow! These bridges here look amazing!! Can't wait for their release...
BTW: I was wondering, has anyone attempted to make a bridge with 4 rail lines on it? By that I mean 2 natural lines togeter, for 4 lines total.

^i believe it's been considred, but i dont not believe you can make a 2 tiled bridge from a one tile network.

It looks like i got some problems that i just can't seem to fix.   :'( I've checked and rechecked the coordinates of all the objects in the models, yet I can't figure out why im getting these small misalignments between the different pieces.  i think its something in the lods, but i dont know enough to troubleshoot this yet.  Anyone can help point me in the right direction?  I'd appreciate the help greatly!

and i know the textures are bad....theyre only temporary.... :P

jeronij

can you show us the LODs please ?¿

im not quite sure what/how you prefer, but here's a shot at it.

i offset the lods 17m so they are all visible.  if this doesn't help, lemme knkow and i'll try again.

thanks jeronij!

Sorry, I dont have much time atm  &mmm . Try this:  delete all the joining faces. All the faces which are lined with the Y axis in the picture. Also try to make your LOD on single poly. You can outline the front vew shape using a simple point to point line, and extrude it 16 meters. THere is your LOD  ;) . You dont need to make those holes. Make sure your LODs are 16 meter long. Exactly 16 meters.
I hope this helps  ;)

dragonshardz

jeronj, I would love to have the WarZone/StarCraft Bridge, and I assume the green and red bridges in the earlier picture are of the Garabit Viaduct?

I think somebody should try making a cable stayed el-rail/glr bridge like the skybridge in Vancouver.

You dont need to make those holes.

i'll give it a try.....i just created an editable mesh and attached all the objects except the road texture plane.  Wasn't sure what would be right.

still learning as i go, but your insight has been invaluable!!

I second this.
It helps that if I look out my window it is the first thing I see.

Errrr...Couldn't you just make a transit enabled lot with 2 rail-set props on it? Or just make the bridge with 1 set on it, and then make an exact double of it, and fuse them together?
Or does someone know of a way to override the No-Bridges-side-by-side command?

choco

im not a modder....so i dunno.  it may be done thru puzzle pieces or overrides....the tsing ma is currently in test from what i understand.

I've been fiddling with a rail viaduct and realized that the start piece needs to be 48x16 meters.  Is this possible or is 16 meters the limit?

threestooges

-Jestarr: I'd wait for the official word from Jeronij, but from what I've been able to figure out, this is entirely possible. As long as each piece can be broken into a 16x16 meter model, you can set the number of models in the start/end piece in the reader and fill in the individual model IDs. By the way, the model looks great. I would suggest lengthening the supports a bit for more altitude variation, but that is a minor thing. Can't wait to see what you do with it.

Glenni

Hmm... seeing all these started i must admit that i am tempted to try again.... We need more trashy looking and generic bridges anyway. :D

JoeST

wow, that looks simply stunning jestarr, cant wait for it to come out  ()stsfd()

and maybe you should glenni, more bridges are always good LOL

That's going to be one sweet bridge when you are done jestarr.  I can't wait to see the textures added, that's when it's really going to come to life.

Excellent design  ¡¡¡.

...and about your request, as Matt pointed, no problem at all while the main pieces can be cutted into smaller 16x pieces, so, please, go ahead  ;)
