Ah...now this is what I've been wanting. Fantastic update! By the way, I'm really digging that mod you suggested for changing the maxis white texture. Very useful. Any other gems over at the Sim-forum site you'd like to share with us hopeless English only speakers?

cubby420: Thanks you. I'm glad you like the mod, it really makes playing alot easier without all the relotting. ;D There's actually no other mod, that hasn't been released on the STEX or on SC4D yet. Remember this is only a beta, that's why it hasn't been released.

Today I'm gonna show you an industrial area from the city of Lyndhurst. The city is a suburb of "New Memphis". It's located in the east of downtown. Most of the people are poor so there are a lot of ghetto-areas and dirty industrial areas. The city has the biggest railyard in the whole Arlington Bay area, so there's quiet alot of work to do.
I'm now only showing the railyard area and in the next update some more industry and residental areas.
Please remember this is an older city so there is no NWM, because I hadn't enough time (and energy) to rebuild all the roads.

Let's start with some overviews of the railyard-area.:)

Now let's continue with some close-ups.

Now to finish this update a mosaic.

I hope you enjoyed the (huge) update. :)

Hello Manuel,

I did enjoy that huge update.
I don't think you could have put anything more into those pics.
I absolutely loved it, great work. &apls

That is a great yard, i like it. It looks very busy!

But why you use the Maxis Highway?

Battlecat

That is a fantastically huge railyard!  Great job!

RickD

So you built a railyard, too. What a coincidence, eh?  :D
Yours is really good. Great selection of industrial buildings.  &apls

Very cool stuff as usual my friend. Great railyard. I have tried so many times to create a realistic yard...but even with NCD's big lots, I always struggle to make it flow naturally. As you often do, you have given me a great example to emulate (or blatantly plagiarize  $%Grinno$%).

Nice Rail Yard reminds me of our yards up here... :)

That's one heck of a rail yard!

paul 999: Thanks. Why not? It's alot easier to use and more realistic in urban areas than the RHW. RHW is only good in rural areas IMO, and Arlington Bay Area is pretty much urban. ;)

RickD: Thanks. Not really. I saw your nice railyard and it reminded me to show some pictures of mine too. Sometimes I need a little kick to shoot some new pictures and put them online. thanks for that hehe, I really enjoy watching your MD, it's a good inspiration.;)

cubby420: Thank you very much. Don't they say as soon as people start plagiarize your work, you did a good job? ;D

Today it's only a small update. I made some close-up's of the industrial area around the railyards. Next time will be a much bigger update of some ghettos in the neighbourhood.:) As you can maybe see, I've made some custom content aswell. It's nothing big, but I needed some industrial fillers.:)

Another fantastically dirty update....I loved it.

Loving the industrial stuff lately.

One question: The large lots (maybe 8x8 or 9x9 even) at the top of the first pic...where can I find those? Those are definitely maxis buildings but the layout is much more realistic.

I second that. As much as I love the RHW, it still takes way too much room to fit properly in a high density urban core. Plus we wouldn't want not being able to use those wonderful SFBT filler lots, would we?

(However, I just used the RHW to build sort of a surrounding ring to a mid-size city, less tightly packed, of 35000 people, and it fits right in).

@ ManuelR
Keep them coming, I love it!

As I promised, I got a bigger update than last time. We're still in the city of Lyndhurst, but now we move to the residental areas.

First picture shows an old part of Lyndhurst, with alot of smaller apartment-buildings.

The highway has some noise-barriers since a couple of years, thanks to the new government, trying to upgrade the neighbourhood. ;D

A busy streetcorner, where old St. Matthew's church is located.

R$ highrisers:

But luckily some new parks were built.:)

There's also a small cemetary. I'm using these cemetary lots now much more, especially in the suburbs, I really like them.:)

And at least, some ghetto-blocks as you can see them everywhere in this city. ;)

I've been reading this and not commenting for a little bit now out of jealousy. I love your CBD so much. I try so hard to get one bigger than 30,000 people but it just bgins to suck. I love how you use so much of marczars stuff. It looks amazing!  I'll be looking forward to more.

Battlecat

Brilliant work in the last two updates!  I love you industrial sites and today's urban areas look excellent as well.

Thanks for sharing the source of those industrial lots.  I haven't see his work before!
