Now that's waht I'm talkin about.  Earthscraper...hehehe.  That's an understatement, great work my friend.  I will soon add this one to my jestarr collection of awesome industrial lots.

Its producing toilet paper for the USSR in my head already :P I always love perfection, because it looks perfect as it is to me, can't wait to see what you do with the finished product, and especially the lot.

jestarr

Well, lotting is my least favorite thing in the creation process.  Why?  Basically, because I suck at it. :P  Anyway, here's an in-game pic of my progress in the lotting arena.  This is a pic of the ploppable version.  I'm checking on how the props look in the game.  Cheers!

p.s.  I've come up with a name for it finally.  It'll be the Englehardt Shirt Factory - makers of anything with sleeves. ;D

Nice work jestarr, Englehardt Shirt Factory looks awesome!  I especially like the curved fences by the entrances.  Keep it up! &apls

Thanks, I'm glad you like it.  Also, for those wishing to use it, I've uploaded Currey Petro-Chemical to the LEX.  Cheers!

Very very nice work Jestarr. &apls

Some more great work there Jestarr. One small comment about Englehardt Shirt Factory, you should consider rearranging the roof junk. It looks too symetrical and the mirror operation is entirely too obvious. I would mix it up a little bit if you have the time and energy.

Andreas

The curved fences look very nice indeed, although I think the building doesn't need a fence along the front. I like the small strip of grass with those small trees and bushes, but the fence makes it looking like it was deliberately put up to block the folks on the streets (or the dogs ruining the lawn :P ).

Think of it as a "vandal protection mechanism" which, as with most such mechanisms fails abysmally.  :P

That's not a statement on the building by the way, it's a statement attesting to the unbelieveable ability of vandals to get into properties.

jestarr

OK, the shirt factory has been sent to testing.  Since I value Andreas judgment, the fence on the front is history.  The curved sections on the entrance remain though.  I'll post a pic when I get home from work.  So, since that's done, I've moved on to the next on my list. ;D  I've started on the Owosso Sugar Factory.  This is a real company that existed in Owosso, Michigan.  I believe it ceased operation sometime around 1958.  Here's a couple pics of the boilerhouse.  The roof junk isn't accurate, of course, but the rest is.  There'll be three buildings on this lot and the real one was associated with a canal.  Apparently, from reading it's history, there was 27 miles of canal between the factory and the sugar beet farm.  The residents of the area used it as a skating rink in the winter. :D  Anyway, here's the pics.  Cheers!

Very nice as always.  It looks like it's small.   ???

Compared to that last building any thing looks small ;), but you've got to read the fine print:
QuoteThere'll be three buildings on this lot

It's looking good so far Jestar, really like the texturing on the door and windows.

Nice stuff jestarr  Good work...More from you  :P

Zaphod

wow, a 27 mile canal built to just haul sugar beets?

when it was constructed?

War Kittens !?

jestarr

Thanks all, I'm glad you like it.

@ Zaphod:  I'm not sure when the canal was constructed, but the factory was built in 1902.  The farm was reclaimed swamp land, with a fairly extensive levee system, so I'm assuming the canal was built around the same time.

Here's a test render pic of the Owosso plant with two of the buildings showing.  The large one is the main factory and will be the building on the lot.  All the rest will be props.  There will be another building, to the right of the boiler house, with rail into the discharge bin portion of the building.  I'll probably make some hopper cars with a sugar beet load and some cull piles for added interest. :D  There's still a lot to do on this one. :P  Cheers!

Here's an in-game pic of the Englehardt lot that's in testing.

Andreas

Ah yes, it looks a lot better without that fence (thanks for your confidence in my suggestion :) ). But now you've done exactly what almost everyone would have done - filling the empty space with lots of trees and bushes. :P I know that it's hard to leave some open space, but actually, it looked more realistic with just a few of those.

Both buildings look awesome.  And the curved fence on the second lot is a very nice touch.  As always, I can't wait to get my greedy hands on this stuff.

It shouldn't be too long, unless I made a major error. :D  Ok, I was looking through my reference pics last night and came across one I'd forgotten about.  I liked the building, so I started messing around with it in the BAT; here's the result.  It's modeled after the Gerlach-Barklow Calendar factory in Joliet, Illinois.  The textures were applied so you'd have a bit of reference.  They won't be staying.  Cheers!

This is a very nice building.  I can never say it enough, but your stuff is awesome.
