How about a project to get all or most of the state capitol buildings into the game?  (Easy for me to say since I can't do it...)  There are so many of these great buildings out there.

I can't seem to find one good site with them all, but wikipedia seems to have a pictures on most of them.  What do y'all think?

A few of my favorites:  California, Kansas, Kentucky & Wyoming

This seems like a pretty cool idea to me. In the spirit that any requests needs a starting point, this is the new Capitol of Mississippi, built in 1903 and in service today.

This is the Old Capitol, which served from 1833 to 1903, it housed the state history museum until Hurricane Katrina severely damaged the roof in 2005, it is currently undergoing restoration to its original appearance.

If anyone is interested in BAT'd either of these buildings please send me a message and I'll happily provide you with more photos and information.

Cheers,
Kevin

Getting all 50 state capital buildings in game would be a huge amount of work.  &mmm It would take almost a whole team to finish that many in decent time..

..However just fyi the Georgia South Carolina state capital building is on my BAT list. It almost seems like you could make 1..then use it kinda sorta as a template for the others (since you would have most of the peices already done). These models tend to run high on poly count..so rendering 50 different buildings could get ugly  :bomb:

I kinda like this idea, and I might see what I can do, but no promises, and no guarantees.

I'll start the Georgia South Carolina one and see where it goes from there

Interesting idea though!

This is a cool idea, although I've noticed that a lot of the capitol buildings are done in the same style and thus are extremely similar, so making all 50 would be unnecessary.

Looking at the pictures on Wikipedia, the 5 I'd most like to see are the Connecticut, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oregon, and Tennessee. (because of their unique architecture)

Both the Old and New Louisiana Capitols are really interesting structures that would be amazing BAT'd.

It's interesting that two people have mentioned the Louisiana state capitol building here.  I work about 2 miles from it & it's one of my least favorites.  The grounds surrounding it are nice, but I guess I like the traditional buildings better.

Of course, if anyone is interested in making this building, I'd be more than happy to dig up some pics.

I like the old Louisiana capitol. Tennessee is a great one (and my home state!). I have taken pix of as many capitols as I can find. I think the most worthy ones are: TN, LA (old), CT, KY, MN, NY, TX, VA. There are some which are very similar in style. But I think it would definitely be great to get some distinctive signature architecural pieces like a capitol for a SC4 region.
See the all-new National Capital Region!:http://sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=15118.0

this from Austin, Texas its one of my favorite capitols

Yeah, I like the Texas Captiol (it's my home state after all), but IMO it's a waste of time to BAT because it (and many other state capitols) are based off of the National Capitol in D.C.

Now, if the glass roofs of the underground expansion were included, that would be interesting (because the above ground building is small compared to the entire complex)

Here's is Pennsylvania's Capitol Building in Harrisburg, if you're trying to get a feel for a bunch of different ones:

I have been wanting the Nebraska and Louisana capitols for a while now and was really surprised no one has BATed them yet. Glad other people noticed this stuff just wasnt out there

A lot of them really do look like the US Capitol building.  I love the Minnesota capitol building, but it looks very similar to the US capitol.  It's even really white...
If girls quoted Winston Churchill and Aristotle in their AIM profiles instead of "Rent," we'd all be so much more erudite. That means "knowledgeable," but you didn't know that because girls quote "Rent" in their AIM profiles.

As you'd expect, Hawaii's Capitol Building is quite different:
