Hi everyone,

this weekend I finally jumped into BATing. I followed a tutorial that I found somewhere (I suppose over at Simtropolis) and have already finished my first model. But when it comes to applying textures, there's a problem. When starting the Material Editor, at some point there soud be the possibility to open atexture file (bmp). However, I'm missing this window (see red rectangle in the image):

Because of that I cannot open a bitmap image file. Is this a bug, or am I'm doing something wrong?
If it's a good idea, go ahead and do it. It's much easier to apologize than it is to get permission.

Hi Rady,

Just double-click on the black square labeled "bitmap" in the Material Navigator and a new window will open where you can load your texture.

Problem is, I won't get this window where I could double-click on "bitmap" ... after clicking on "Standard" in the little "New Material" popup I simply get back to the material editor window ...

I can open the material navigator directly, but then there's no way of adding a material.

But I found another way by clicking the little button right of "difuse" in the "Blin basic Parameters" section.... I'll go try that way and see if it works ..

EDIT:
OK, it worked so far as I could assign a texture to a element in the BAT, but I cannot save that texture .... or at least I dunno how to do  ...?

EDIT 2:

OK, so there seems to be a severe bug in the material part of the BAT. Rght now I can open the material editor, but cannot assign a texture that I already assigned three times before .. and in between, BAT crashes during working with the textures ... anny suggestions are welcome!
