This small village is in the city of Altoena which is a city in a CAM region.  A good collection of Gas Cooker homes grew. I really like the colorful SFBT homes that grew as well. I wasn't all that excited about the Maxis small shops that sprouted in the village business district ... but oh well... you can't have everything.

This is the first time I'm ever posting a pic of one of my regions so please be gentle   ;) Hope you will all like it!

Have a look at the outskirts of Vinkhuizen, the Huygens region. This once untouched location is now disturbed with the railway to Amsterdam. Now discovered, some small woodland cabins are being built at the shores by the rich and famous of Vinkhuizen, apparently going back to basics is the real big thing at the moment. Please have a look at the pictures where you can see the workers cutting down the trees and collecting natural stone for the next cabins to be built.... what a shame

Cycledog's trees and jeronji's plopable rocks are the best!

I like the shot of the rugged shore line. Very nice picture to look at. You should think about entering it into the Picture competition contest... Click Here

I see

The road with bridges is very good done, I like also the rail line (you previous pic was interesting because of perspective)
I also see a nice small tunnel on the dirt path - very few people use it :)
It is very good you use only a few stones, and not too much seasonal trees

Capo,
I like your rural area a lot. Beautiful terraforming.
But in your last picture I see, tot re right in the lower corner, a completely white windmill. I had this one also, but the colors are very unrelaistic. You should consider to replace it by Oppies windmill. It is almost forgotten, I think. But it looks nice. Just have to find the place where I downloaded it. Maybe you can find it on the Simcity.EA.com, but I remember there was another site with not so many downloads, but some very nice ones by Oppie.

Tkirch,
Many rural areas have so many different farms, they have too much diversity (I'm not going to show mine...Maybe I should just delete some plugins, but they look so nice!), and this is not very realistic. Yours has a very nice balance and is not too boring. Very good.
Am I right and do I see Nexis grain elevator railway station? I deleted it from my plugins, because once placed in a city I was not able to bulldoze it anymore. A bug of some sorts.

You can find his Dutch Windmill and his canals, plus some commercials at:
http://www.simcitycentral.net/
Look under "downloads", of course. Most of them are found onder "BAT files".

It's the first time that I'm really trying to create a rural city, so I guess it didn't turn out too bad for the first try. :)

Yeah, not bad Andreas.  ::) Sheesh, some people are so modest.
