This is difficult. Metasmurf has that gradual sloping ramp to the tunnel and those row houses. Those two aspects of the picture are what draws my eye and is the focus for me. And I thought to myself - oh - that's nice and was thinking of voting for it. Then I scrolled down a down and saw the picture by Nardo and it touched a fuzzy feeling inside. The focus is obviously the cathedral but then it isn't. My eye goes beyond and I start to look at the nice ornate buildings on the other side of the avenue while at the same time I am aware of that magnificent cathedral building in the foreground.

I like the waterfall, but the grid is on. Nardo's pic has, as jmyers described, many things to draw the eye.
