Matt:  Thank you!  A lot of the red is there for the modding parts.  It could still take some time to get through as "modding" includes everything from budget items to queries to MML setup to multi-lingual.  I did try the chapel against a wider path and a driveway piece, but I did not try it against an actual street or road.  I'll double check that and thanks for pointing it out!

Pat:  Thank you!

Diggis:  There are clusters of people on the lot... I just snapped the picture at 3AM game time.  Apparently they were in bed already!  What kind of college kid is that?  :D  You'll never play again... you're doing the MML's for this... you just don't know it yet!  ;)

Bat:  Thanks!

SC4Boy:  Thank you!  I found that I was getting confused already when plopping these... and considering I set them up, that seemed like a bad sign.  So I hope the color coding will help somewhat.

Nothing new yet... (it's only 8:30AM for crying out loud!)... but I may have something later this evening.  I have a pretty full day of running around so I can leave tomorrow.  Talk to you later!

JB, I would be happy to do the MML's for a set like this.  Or at least incorporate them into Daeleys Menu thingy.  Once i figure out how. ()what()

Goodness, I go to bed early one nite, and look at this, I missed a whole page! This is amazing Jon....that's about all I can say...  Have a great day and I will try and stay awake long enuff tonite to catch your next update. ::)
Sometimes I go into my own little world....but it's ok, they know me there.

Diggis:  I would certainly appreciate that!  Honestly, my hope is to use Daeley's new mod for this as I believe it offers more sorting options.  I'm not entirely up to speed yet either, but we can definitely talk about that elsewhere when the time comes.

Duane:  Thank you!  I hope you didn't stay up too late waiting after all...

I ended up spending a lot more time away from home than I thought yesterday.  My morning errands took longer than expected... and then I spent some more time at the dentist.  I spent the evening nice and numb again but my internet was spotty at best.  Hence no update last night.

I did make a final change to the Conger Academic Center that I can show you:

I took the porch back to its original size but also made the depth a bit smaller.  I changed the stairs so that they would fit the smaller porch and yet still allow for a wider path.  This is finished and ready to go now... but it will have to wait until next week.  I'm now up north doing the family Christmas thing so there will be nothing new to look at for a bit.

Talk to you soon,
JB

The curved stairs are great, but more importantly, Merry Christmas. Enjoy the family fun, and we'll see you when you get back.

Have some egg nog for me and have a happy, restful and peaceful Christmas break with your family. ;D
Go Sens!!

JBSimio

Pat:  Thank you!

Matt:  Thanks to you as well!

Simdad:  Thank you... I'm a huge fan of egg nog, so I'll be more than happy to follow up on your "request!"  :D

I've spent a lot of spare time on Google Earth the last couple days gathering ideas.  I drew out the last three "quad" type lots which will be simple to put together once I get home.  These will be smaller... 5x5, 5x5, and 5x3.  I also started drawing up a couple ideas for upcoming additions.  (I have 5 more dorms in mind already!)  But don't worry... I won't start any of those until this first part is finished.

I will be posting a poll shortly to vote on the university name.  There are images on page 47 that were part of a couple of the suggestions.  Please vote for you favorite name, and realize that I may take some liberties with any images once the name is decided.  (In other words, it would be better to vote by name rather than by pictures... lol)  I'll leave the poll up for one week... so voting will close next week Sunday.

In the meantime, I want to wish everyone the very best.  This community means a lot to me and enjoy my time here very much.  Thanks to the many people involved in making and keeping this site the great place that it is.  And many many thanks to everyone who makes this such a fun way to spend my time.  There are many who stop here to offer encouragement, those who offer suggestions and advice, those who teach, and those who lurk.  Whatever you do when dropping into my little corner here, you've undoubtedly played some role in the enjoyment I get out of this thread and the community as a whole.  So I thank you all again.  Have a very Merry Christmas and the best wishes for the New Year to come!

Jon

A question: are the paths BSC park trail compatible? It'd be really cool if the textures changed depending on what path pack you have installed.

Nice job on the CAC. :P

Thank you for inviting us into your little corner of the community and the work you do for it. Just in case I don't have the chance to swing in tomorrow, Merry Christmas to you too.

JBSimio

Robin:  Thank you!

Matt:  Thanks!

I had a great Christmas... I hope everyone else did as well.  I'm back at home now, although just about to leave for work for a while.  I got the initial layouts for the final quads finished.  Here's a quick look:

I need to adjust a couple of the textures as I see I'm off by a pixel or two in some cases.  So I'll fix that and then move on to the final lotting of all the paths.  The driveway pieces will probably be sent off for testing in the next couple days.

Thanks to those who have voted so far... and if you haven't, you still have until Sunday!  ;)

Welcome back Jon, and a belated Merry Christmas to go with an early Happy New Year ::)   Looking good on the quads.....I'm already stareing at them to see which ones I'll use first......sheesh.

Duane:  Thank you!  I made a variety of sizes to fit the different buildings I have at this time.  Feel free to use as many as you want!  ;)

Tag_One:  Thank you!

Pat:  Thanks!  The voting is turning into a pretty tight race so far... I'm very interested to see how it pans out myself!

This should be the final picture for the driveway pieces, I think.  It probably doesn't look like a whole heck of a lot, but it honestly represents about 3 hours worth of finishing touches.

As you can see, I made the menu icons for all the pieces.  The menu descriptions will also clear up anything that isn't clear in the pictures.  I also thought I'd make a quick demonstration of the color coded placement arrows while I was taking pictures.  Hopefully, that part makes a little more sense now.  I did make one change on that corner piece after these pictures... the lamp post is now on the outside of the curve instead of the inside just as an attempt to prevent the lamp posts from getting too close together.  (It's bound to happen somewhere depending on how you arrange things, but it should be at a minimum.)  The next step for these is getting them out of my hands for translation for multi-lingual (like the school packs had) and then MML's of one sort or another.

That's all I've got for tonight... more tomorrow sometime!

JB

Doesn;t look like much? Are you kidding? You've created a whole parking system, redesigned the trail arrows to clear up the confusion of orientation, thought of things like lamp placement, and made a full series of clear menu icons too. Congratulations on another great addition. You have a great attention to detail with these things (something I've yet to develop in the BAT), and I have to give you credit, you've inspired me to actually open a BAT thread (which I should hopefully get around to in a day or so). Any suggestions for someone getting into the BAT creation thing? Glad the holidays went well.
