Looking forward to that update!

Great updates there EJC.  The region view is awesome.

And on the Essen Special I particularly like the last picture - something very real about the layout of that one.

I always enjoy looking at what you produce.

BOCHUM RAIL

We enter the city from the north with a Intercity-train from "Münster" to "Bochum HBF"

Passing by some overpasses

Another overpass, here we cross "AlleestraBe"

The railyards in front of the main-station..

.. "Bochum HBF" seen from "Kurt-Schumacher-Platz"

Next time we'll take a closer look on Bochum city-center..

Wow it looks so...European! :) Very realistic pictures of any northern-western european city. I must ask what roadside mod you used? The grey sidewalks look so much like...home, I would like to use them also.

picture 1: Very nice overview. The best thing is the combination of diagonals and 'normal' buildings. This is really very lifelike to bend and curve the roads and buildings. One thing that keeps bugging me is the half empty tile in the top left corner :)

picture 2: Isn't that Haarlemmergold his Hungarian building? What a great bat that is.. The railway looks very aged, I like that a lot..though the train ride must be a bumpy one when looking at the tracks.

picture 3: Again the rail looks a bit rollercoaster-ish, but I don't mind that much. There is so much good to see in your pictures to make up for it. Real great work! One small suggestion would be to edit the base texture from that Berlin bus stop to a matching texture with the sidewalks. That would really finish it I feel..

picture 4: Wow that looked like a train wreck for sure, but it seems the railway officials know what they are doing. Also nice to see Kwakelaar his buildings in a modern setting.

picture 5: I just love it when a railway station has some realistic length on the ... perrons (sorry can't find the english word for it). A very nice modern railway station in a realistic setting...just those blue busses seem out of place, but that's just personal I guess...

conclusion: excellent update!

The highway and some mayor industry along it

suburb with some high-rises near the edge

The main highway that circles the city

Dirty landfilling near Bochum

The football-club of Bochum; VFL Bochum in der Arena

A city near Bochum that's called Witten, here near the main train-station

And to close up this update; the region shots (notice "Dortmund" is halfway developed on the right!!)

BOCHUM Zentrum

We enter the historic city by train and arrive on "Bochum HBF"

The square in front of the station; "Bahnhofplatz"

All of historical Bochum.. Small twisty roads and some nice large buildings here

More zoomed out, where you can clearly sea old, new and industrial are mixed all together

A view from the suburbs towards the center

Diagonal building-style; thanks to all the great BATers!!

We cross the raillines towards "Essen"..

..the other side of historic Bochum, in the south more residential areas[/i]

Next update we'll move on towards the city of "Dortmund"; the 2nd largest city in the region, here I experimentated with GLR (straBenbahn)

Looking forward to Dortmund!

It looks like a very crowded city with mostly low riase biuldings.  I like it a lot.  Great work.  I especially like the rail lines and bridges.

HAPPY & JOYFUL 2008!!

To celebrate this new year, I want to tell.. AND SHOW.. you that I doubled the regionsize as I told before. More playing fun for me with the western German region. It's far from finished but that all will come in 2008!! I think it should be finished around or maybe just before summer. Well, anyhow; stay tuned as I show you the new updated and extra large region views!!

The sattelite pic, where you can clearly see the region has expanded north-wards on the entire lenght of the region!! Also some city-tiles around "Düsseldorf" have been made (far bottom-left)

A little more close-up shot, with all the highways and railways in place on the new city-tiles (12 large ones in total!!!)

Another thing to see, is the city of "Dortmund" (located far right).. it's fully develloped as well all the farmlands surrouding it. I think, it deserves a more close-up shot of the region; here we go!! ->

Middle = "Dortmund", Left = "Bochum" & more Right = "Unna" (oh, and bottom is hilly "Sauerland"...)

Well, enough region-madness.. I'll going to be very busy with develloping and structuring the newly erected city-tiles. Updates will come more often as I get more to let you people see now!!

Cheers++
