How much is that monkey in the window?

With many tourists coming to the southern city of Chimpania, retailers are omnipresent, playing their wares in deluxe shopping centers as well as in suburban-style strip development. Before we head out of Chimpania, let's see what we can buy for souvenirs.

Perhaps a 14 karat gold banana pendant at Gorilla & Sons Jewelry, conveniently located at the mall?

Maybe a "Lucky Monkey" t-shirt from the casino?

Perhaps concert tickets? Playing tonight: The Monkees!

Maybe you would prefer lunch and then some bananas?

Who wouldn't want one of the world famous "Stolen from the Holiday Inn" towels?!

Is a season pass to Monkeytown Fairgrounds in order?

From a relaxing day at the Lice Picking Spa...

... to a high rolling, high octane night on the town at the Lucky Monkey...

Chimpania has it all!

Beautiful photos, Schulmanator, every one oozing luxury as usual. There must be some pretty rich little monkeys in Chimpania!

Love the mall, and the silhouettes in the windows add a fine finishing touch. The night shot is fantastic and the Holiday Inn on the beach looks great.
Actually, all the photos look terrific and make me wish I had some travelin' money, but I can't even afford a buncha bananas right now!

Jmouse These monkeys are loaded with bananas... but with your tourist visa, you can visit at a cost of only a few peels! And, you will get a free stay at the beachfront Holiday Inn in Chimpania. C'mon over!

Pat Riot I am not sure who owns the casino. Mr. Teeny probably doesn't... he's running for mayor and that would be a conflict of interest. His opponent in the race is Gabe Gorilla. Should be an exciting election year.

but I just caught up on some wonderful updates.

As an aside i have actually seen Banarama live in concert .... ooooh so many years ago.
Thankfully my musical tastes have changed for the better

Aaah well ... Nostalgia is not what it used to be

Will pop in more regularly from now on

Monkey Island's amusement park looks like a lot of fun, my friend. A "Barrel" of fun, even! I'll be looking forward to seeing more of the park, and more of Monkey Island!

TheTeaCat I am glad to see you back. I know how RLS is. I have been doing a lot of boring work stuff (time consuming) and been tending to sick family members, who, of course, eventually got me sick too. Now I am 90% better and the daggone work just waits for you... building interest!

So, ya like Bananarama? You would make a great concert goer in Monkey Island... How's about a pair of front row seats and back stage passes for after? After all, you do have a Monkey island tourist visa. And, it does come with privileges!
